Molerats

Molerats are burrowing, mid-sized predators confirmed for Gothic 1 Remake. Alkimia Interactive published remake concept art for the Molerat in January 2023 and followed up with a public gameplay reveal titled "First Look at Molerat Combat."

Combat Role

• Burrowers. Molerats emerge from the ground rather than patrolling in the open, which gives early encounters a surprise-attack quality.

• Bite-focused. Their combat loop is built around closing the gap fast and committing to short, powerful bite combos.

• Early-game threat. They are a meaningful fight for an early Hero but fall off as weapon skills ramp up.

Where They Live

Molerats appear in the wilderness stretches between the camps. Specific full-game pins have not been published ahead of launch; the confirmed remake appearances come from the concept art reveal and the gameplay video.
