Molerats

Molerats are pink-skinned, mole-like creatures that live in the caves and sheltered areas of the Valley of Mines. They were spotlighted in THQ Nordic's own pre-release news updates as one of the first creatures revealed in the remake.

Behaviour

• They prefer shaded and underground areas, away from bright sunlight.

• They live in small packs of roughly three or four individuals.

• Alone, a molerat is a manageable fight even for a low-level hero; in a pack, they can still kill an unprepared Hero.

Role in the Early Game

Molerats are one of the first things the Hero encounters while poking around the Colony outside the camps. They are meant to teach the player the basics of group combat: break line of sight, fight them one at a time, and don't commit to an attack animation with more of them closing in.
