Added Admission to the New Camp walkthrough and requirements
Admission to the New Camp is the Chapter 1 route into Lares's faction. Its critical dependency is the Old Mine supply list: give it to Lares before Diego so The Raid remains available at the end of the quest chain.
Mordrag can escort the Hero from the Old Camp and gives his ring on arrival. Drax offers another escort after the return of his Hunter's Knife. Inside the New Camp cavern, climb the stairs on the left toward Lares's office. Roscoe accepts Mordrag's Ring or a reason to discuss the supply list; a Charm scroll offers another way past him.
The ring is one way to earn Lares's trust, but it is not necessary to surrender it if the supply-list route is used. Keeping it preserves its +5 Dexterity bonus. The ring does not replace the list requirement for The Raid.
Stage | Task |
|---|---|
Earn trust | Bring the List of Requirements of the Old Mine to Lares, then deliver the altered list to Diego. |
Sell Baal Isidro's shipment and give Lares 400 ore nuggets. | |
A Few Drops Too Much | Help the Rice Lord by dealing with Rayk at the tavern and reporting to Silas. |
Up to His Neck | Find Bran's body in the flooded tavern basement. Recover Bran's Axe from Silas's chest before confronting Silas for the evidence reward. |
The Raid | Ask Lares about reputation after the previous jobs. Find Wedge beside the supply road, coordinate the ambush, and defeat the guards. |
Reporting the completed raid to Lares automatically admits the Hero to the New Camp. It grants 1,000 XP and the Bandit's Dress while closing rival admission quests. Keep a manual save before this report and finish other camp tasks first.
If the list was already handed straight to Diego, The Raid cannot be obtained through this route. Return to an earlier save to preserve this faction choice. Main Quests places the admission route within the chapter order.
