Kratos and Atreus are the family at the heart of Faye's quest in God of War Laufey. They are the ones she awakens to protect: the plans she put in place to keep them safe are at risk, and saving them drives her journey through the Everywhen.

The reveal frames them as Faye's motivation rather than the focus of this game, and their active role in Laufey has not been detailed. In the earlier Norse-era games Kratos is the series' longtime protagonist and Atreus is his son; how much they appear here remains to be confirmed.
