Haven NPCs
Haven is shared by people other than the Druid. The Haven dev blog describes three figures who pass through the hub: a small figure with sharp eyes, a trader whose journey is not quite finished, and a large watchful companion who understands more than it lets on. Pre-launch material introduces them as character archetypes rather than named characters; their names and roles are reserved for the playable build.
Confirmed Archetypes
Description | Role (Inferred) |
|---|---|
A small figure with sharp eyes. | Likely a quest-giver or lore source. Sharp eyes signal observational intelligence rather than physical danger. |
A trader whose journey is not quite finished. | Likely a vendor or supply contact, with a personal subplot tied to their unfinished journey. |
A large, watchful companion who understands more than it lets on. | Likely an animal companion or non-human ally. The phrasing suggests a non-speaking partner with hidden depth. |
What the Hub Does
Haven is where life continues in small, meaningful ways: metal is worked and tended, herbs dry, mixtures simmer, and quiet crafts fill the air. The NPCs are part of that texture rather than a list of services. They are described as feeling lived-in, layered with detail, and grounded in the rhythms of daily survival.
Open Questions
None of the Haven NPCs have been named in pre-launch material.
Whether they offer quests, vendor services, alchemy stations, or all of the above is unconfirmed.
Whether their stories have arcs that resolve over the campaign is implied (their stories are not told all at once, and some truths take time to surface) but not detailed.
When names are revealed, this overview will be split into individual character pages for each NPC.
