Initial game engine page citing Unreal Engine 5.
Fatekeeper runs on Unreal Engine 5. Pre-launch material confirms the engine choice, and the visuals shown in trailers and screenshots are running on its current feature set. The team has emphasized that, despite a small headcount of about a dozen developers, Unreal Engine 5's tooling and rendering pipeline let the game look closer to a larger-studio production than its budget would suggest.
Visual fidelity. Lighting, environmental detail, and physics-driven effects benefit from the engine's recent feature additions.
Animation weight. Pre-launch combat footage relies on the engine's animation pipeline to give swings their distinctive heft.
Iteration speed. A small team needs an engine that lets them prototype quickly; Unreal Engine 5 is the studio's pick for that reason.
Specific performance benchmarks, hardware requirements, and target frame rates are not yet announced. The Steam page lists every system requirement value as to be announced. See
