Added the June 12 showcase-stream announcement to the developer communications log
Farever entered Steam Early Access on May 6, 2026, and the developers at Shiro Games began patching quickly afterward. This page tracks the dated updates and the key developer communications from launch onward. Versions are listed oldest to newest. Because the game is in Early Access, patches arrive frequently, and this log focuses on the headline changes for each release.
Version | Date | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
v0.1.1 | May 7, 2026 | Improved server performance, fixed grapple-point visibility, addressed platform stutter and pushing issues, and resolved various crashes and bugs |
v0.1.2 | May 7, 2026 | Fixed many untranslated texts and made various performance improvements |
v0.1.3 | May 13, 2026 | Major post-launch patch ("Over 100k Farseekers"): party and Steam-invite fixes, server stability work including a rollback data-loss fix, gamepad support including selecting your server in the main menu, inventory quality-of-life additions, a guarantee that every player receives at least one piece of gear, and rebindable keys |
v0.1.3.25687 | May 15, 2026 | Hotfix: fixed Steam-invite acceptance before going in-game, corrected totems lasting twice as long as intended, improved performance in the north of the map, and other minor fixes |
v0.1.4 | May 19, 2026 | Anti-exploit and caps: fixed item duplication and other exploits, added a maximum Gold cap of 499,999, set a maximum of 8 characters per account, and fixed lag in the Mine Estrone dungeon |
v0.1.5 | May 21, 2026 | Large bugfix patch: boss and dungeon fixes, broad weapon-skill fixes, bank space raised to 100 slots, stack sizes raised to 1000, and day/night cycle synced between players on the same layer |
v0.1.6 | May 28, 2026 | Major balancing pass that concluded the post-release wave of heavy patches: talent-tree and weapon-skill tuning across all four classes, with the strongest self-healing builds reined in. Also improved the map menu (chest and secret-orb counts shown per sub-region, activity highlighting and centering), added the option to buy up to six extra bag slots for the Bank, and fixed assorted bugs |
v0.1.6(.2) | May 29, 2026 | Follow-up patch: more bug fixes (codex display for monsters killed before being catalogued, shield refresh values, gamepad map navigation, boss adds spawning without aggro), added several weapons to the Valley of Eternal Autumn merchant (all starter weapons plus Radiance, Judgment, Credence, Glory, and Dominion at Rare quality, level 20), continued performance and server optimisation, and further class balance tweaks following the previous day's patch |
Alongside the patches, the developers have shared a number of update posts that are not patches themselves. The earliest explained the team's focus while servers and systems were stabilizing after launch; a later one highlighted the community and offered a sneak peek of the upcoming content update.
Post | Date | Summary |
|---|---|---|
Our Priority | May 7, 2026 | Laid out the post-launch priorities: the party system tied to Steam invites, performance and server stability and latency across all regions, and gamepad control bindings |
Our work on servers | May 12, 2026 | A technical recap of post-launch server work, including database and load-balancing improvements and fixes for issues that were affecting stability |
Community Highlight and Update Sneak Peek #1 | June 4, 2026 | Spotlighted the post-launch community (fan art and screenshots, with an in-game tip to press F2 to hide the UI) and gave a second sneak peek of the next content update: the upcoming new region's music and a concept art of a new companion. Reaffirmed that the first Major Update arrives toward the end of June with a raised level cap, new weapons, dungeons, bosses, and activities |
Major Update showcase stream | June 12, 2026 | Announced a dedicated showcase stream set for June 18, 2026, where the game director and community manager would present gameplay from the next region of Siagarta, followed by a community question-and-answer session. The region was not yet named. |
With v0.1.6 the team described the initial "post-release" wave of heavy stabilizing patches as concluded, shifting focus toward the first content update. Because Farever is still in active development, expect this list to grow with each new patch. For the bigger picture of what is planned beyond these fixes, see Early Access and Roadmap.
