Initial version (2026-09-15)
Neria (ネリア, Traditional Chinese 涅莉亞) is a warrior of Port Azurea in Eternal Anima, introduced under the epithet 自由を求める戦士, the warrior who seeks freedom. Her published profile is short, and this page keeps to it. She is one of only four characters whose English name is confirmed, her spelling being printed on a character art card visible in official product photography for the Limited Edition.

Her stated role in the settlement is captain of its survey and expedition team. Port Azurea is a settlement of drifters afloat on The Forbidden Sea, whose residents live off flotsam and relics hauled up from the seabed, so a survey team sits at the centre of how the place keeps itself alive. Official copy does not describe the team's size, its methods, where it ranges, or what it is looking for, and the word rendered here as survey covers both surveying and expedition work in the original.
The profile says she once escaped Urvis Ael in search of freedom. That city forbids any word or deed leading to evolution or development, treating the pursuit of a better future as a serious crime, and its order is enforced by Revision. Her hatred is directed at both: the profile gives her a fierce hatred of The Almighty, the city's thousand-year ruler, and of Revision itself.
Nothing is published about when she escaped, how she got out of a city that floats in the sky, whether she was pursued, or whether she knew Wade before he left the same city under very different circumstances. Those are open questions as of 15 September 2026, not omissions to be filled in.
Two things are stated. She is unafraid of the peril-filled Forbidden Sea, a body of water that official copy elsewhere describes as threatening Port Azurea with both natural hazards and monsters. And she dreams of one day travelling the whole world. Given a setting whose continents sank into the sea, that ambition is a large one, and the published profile leaves it at the level of ambition.
The settlement's leader is a separate character whose site slug is Azurea (アズレア), introduced as chief of the drifters and credited with a bold nature and unshakeable self-belief that win trust from a strongly individual population. Neria is not that character. The similarity between the settlement's name and its leader's is itself unresolved in official copy, which never says whether Port Azurea is named after her or she after it. See Characters for the full roster and the English name caveat that applies to Azurea's spelling but not to Neria's.
As of 15 September 2026 there is no age, no weapon, no starting class, no party role and no English voice credit for her. The official site attaches era labels only to the Ambulis cast, so nothing states which of the game's two eras she belongs to; the Port Azurea group carries no era label at all. Her individual character video exists on the official site but adds no profile text. Nothing published states whether she joins the protagonist's party, and it should not be assumed.
