Eternal Anima is sold in three shapes: a standard edition available boxed or as a download, a Digital Deluxe Edition, and a boxed Limited Edition sold only in the West. Because each regional publisher assembles its own lineup, both the prices and the contents differ by territory. Everything below is dated 15 September 2026, six days after the reveal, and Western digital pricing is still to be announced.
These are the only regions with published digital pricing. The mainland Chinese figure was listed by the regional physical distributor rather than by the publisher's own site.
Territory | Standard edition | Digital Deluxe Edition |
|---|---|---|
Japan | ¥7,678 including tax, package or download | ¥8,778 including tax |
Taiwan | TWD 1,590, boxed or digital | TWD 1,790 |
Hong Kong | HKD 358, boxed or digital | HKD 408 |
Mainland China | CNY 338 | Not listed |
The Asian boxed discs carry published barcodes: 4535506304315 for the PlayStation 5 edition and 4535506304308 for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition, both listed by the official Asian physical distributor alongside the mainland price above.
Only the physical ladder has prices. The publisher stated plainly that digital edition details would follow at a later date, and the Western buy widget already exposes a Digital Deluxe slot with no price attached to it.
Edition and platform | North America | Europe |
|---|---|---|
Standard, PlayStation 5 | $49.99 | EUR 49.99 |
Standard, Nintendo Switch 2 | $59.99 | EUR 49.99 |
Standard, Xbox Series X and S | Not offered | EUR 49.99 |
Limited Edition, PlayStation 5 | $79.99 | EUR 79.99 |
Limited Edition, Nintendo Switch 2 | $89.99 | EUR 79.99 |
Any digital edition | To be announced | To be announced |
Two things stand out in that table. Europe is the only territory offered a physical Xbox Series X|S edition, which North America does not get and which no digital Xbox listing accompanies anywhere. And the North American Switch 2 standard edition costs ten dollars more than the PlayStation 5 one, a gap that does not appear in the European pricing.
The Deluxe adds no gameplay. The Japanese listing states outright that the game content is identical to the standard edition. What it adds is the art book and music, and the wording for those differs by region in a way that is not a translation artefact.
Territory | Contents | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Japan | The base game plus the ETERNAL ANIMA digital art book and soundtrack | Both are viewed and played through a separate application rather than from inside the game. The publisher adds that the specification differs on the PC version, without saying how. |
Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China | The base game plus the digital art book and soundtrack | Same separate-application delivery. The art book displays in Japanese or English only. |
North America and Europe | The base game, a digital art book and select digital BGM tracks | The word select is in the official wording and does not appear in the Japanese version of it, so the Western music bundle is the narrower of the two. This contents list was read from official edition artwork, not from page text. |
What the selected tracks actually are, and how many of them there are, has not been stated. The music credits themselves are covered in Music.
The Limited Edition is physical, Western, and offered on two platforms rather than three. Its contents are identical in North America and Europe except for one line.
Item | Detail |
|---|---|
The game | A boxed copy for Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 |
Original Soundtrack | Two discs, labelled DISC ONE and DISC TWO on the packaging art |
Character art cards | Nine cards. The North American wording adds an acrylic display stand; the European wording omits the stand. |
Art book | Included in both territories |
Outer box | A physical outer box sized for the chosen platform |
Only three of the nine character cards are legible in the official promotional photograph: Wade, Neria and M.O.S.. The other six are visible but unlabelled, and the art book cover in the same photograph shows noticeably more portraits than the fifteen characters revealed so far. Both promotional photographs carry the notice "ART NOT FINAL, IMAGES NOT TO SCALE", so every visual detail here should be treated as provisional.
Two facts about the European product appear in no text on any page, and are readable only as pixels in one official promotional photograph. Both are recorded here with that caveat attached, and both need re-checking against a text source before they are treated as settled.
The European Nintendo Switch 2 box art carries a GAME-KEY CARD banner, which would put Europe alongside Japan rather than alongside North America on the physical-media question covered in Release and Platforms.
A PEGI 12 icon appears on the same photograph, marked as provisional. It is the only numeric age rating attested anywhere for this game, and it is not a published board decision.
Japan and Asia handle bonuses in opposite ways. Japan's are per-retailer and were published on 10 September 2026; Asia's are unified into a single bundle.
The Japanese in-game bonus set is built from six ancient swords, each paired with an amulet, alongside small stocks of recovery items and 300 Animite, the material used to manufacture equipment. Which sword and amulet pair you receive depends on the retailer. Physical merchandise bonuses vary more widely and include an acrylic coaster, postcard sets, a diorama acrylic stand, a pass case, a desk mat, a badge set, an acrylic clock, a clear file and a B2 tapestry, again depending on the retailer.
These bonus items are, as of 15 September 2026, the only in-game item names that exist for this game anywhere. No weapon, armour, consumable or material outside this list has been named.
The Asian bonus is a single "6 Ancient Swords and Useful Item Set" download code card containing all six swords, all six amulets and the same consumable stock including 300 Animite, plus an A5 clear file. The publisher notes that the bonus download content may be sold separately at a later date, and that it unlocks as the story progresses rather than being available from the start.
No PC price has been set in any region, and the storefront listing shows no price at all.
No Xbox digital edition is offered in any territory. The official site's Xbox tabs ask buyers to wait until pre-orders open.
Western digital pricing and Western pre-order dates are both explicitly still to be announced.
No Japanese or Asian Limited Edition has been announced; that edition is Western only so far.
Package art for every edition is marked as not final.
