Revision 1

What Hunts the Night follows Where Loyalty Lies in Crake's questline. The nighttime search of St. Teotim's Churchyard ends with a creature fight and an inscription that leads to the next investigation.

Starting the quest

Searching the churchyard

Arrange to meet Crake and Sara at St. Teotim's Church in the Middens. Meeting them independently when night arrives avoids the automatic wait attached to leaving with Crake immediately.

Follow the dark stains with Focus Mode, inspect the large wing and continue to the belltower doors. Opening them brings out the Beast of St. Teotim's. Its missing wing keeps it grounded; dodge its unblockable leap and cross slash, and use Perfect Blocks against its melee strings.

The inscription and escape

After defeating it, inspect the highlighted body parts until Coen finds the inscription in its jaws. Guards then ambush the party. Follow Crake and clear the enemies blocking the escape route. At the locked gate, Shadowstep over it, defeat the guards and open the gate for him.

During the shelter conversation, asking about Sara and responding sympathetically develops the personal side of Crake's route. Show him the inscription. In the morning, the search for someone who can read it begins What Moves the Dead.
