Things Will Be Different Now is the Laslea epilogue after the main confrontation or agreement with Brencis. It begins at the cemetery and provides a last set of family conversations and village errands before Coen leaves with Lunka. A Hero They Deserve and Together Forever skip this quest and its tapestry.
Final conversations
After the cemetery scene, return home and help Pieter repair the door. Speak with the remaining family. Who is present depends on earlier events, including Esme's medicine and the rescue deadline. These conversations provide closure rather than changing the already determined ending.
Use Focus Mode in the village to highlight important people in gold. Neberu preaches in the centre. Vladimir, Ascar and Iulian may be present or have different dialogue depending on their survival and the choices made around the rebellion and Ambrus.
Preparing for winter
Errand | Detail |
|---|---|
Gavril | Collect peat. Helping repair his fence costs 1 additional segment and opens a conversation about treasure hunting. |
Reiner | Collect blankets. Repairing his wagon costs 1 additional segment. |
Help with repairs and speak with him before leaving. | |
Snares | Collect game west of Laslea. |
Deliver Gavril's peat to her hut and receive the medicine for Lunka. |
The main chores consume 3 time segments. Extra assistance can spend more of the remaining epilogue time, so speak to anyone important before the day advances. Anca's dialogue reflects the Font of Life decision.
Optional decisions
The monastery near the cemetery accepts a 400-denarii contribution. Donating pleases the monks but does not change the story outcome. Encouraging or discouraging Gavril's treasure plans after helping his fence also has no effect on the ending.
The cave
When preparations are complete, follow the mountain path at night to the cave where Lunka is hidden. Neberu offers help as an augur. Vicho or Lacra can appear with him if the relevant earlier choices allow it. Coen then carries Lunka out of Vale Sangora, and the closing sequence records the consequences of the run.
