Midnight Reckoning is Lacra's nighttime assault on Greifberg Castle. Speak with her at Westridge Outpost after Our Rotten Roots to begin. The Night of Horrors is optional for unlocking the raid. Entering the finale closes other activities, so make a manual save and finish preparations first.
Route through the ruins
Stage | What to do |
|---|---|
Entrance | Use the gap between the basement walls of the abandoned house to reach the underground ruins. |
Ruins | Defeat the Unblinking Blasphemy, traverse the broken floor with Vampirism movement, and let Lacra break the barred door. |
Temple | Fight through three waves, then defeat the guards around the large blood orb to disrupt the ritual. |
Exit | Climb the wooden platforms toward the castle. |
Dungeon key | After the first apparitions, use Focus Mode to locate a guard corpse in a cell and take its key. |
Upper dungeon | Defeat the hellhounds, Shadowstep to the upper room and fight the Essence of Grief. |
Castle approach | Cross floating rubble, Clawride down inside the castle and clear the Blood Guards and likhos. |
Final corridor | After the trap, defeat the Commander of the Bloodguard and two hellhounds, then continue to the throne room. |
Xanthe's looping room
If Xanthe was spared during The Cycle of Love, the cursed room is disabled. Otherwise entering its rune-framed doorway starts a loop. Clear the enemies, enter the room left of the stairs and move its bookshelf to reveal a pit. In later loops, find the newly opened room and descend through its pit until the curse breaks.
Confronting Brencis
Choice | Result |
|---|---|
Fight beside Lacra | Choose the response demanding that Brencis draw his blade. Lacra assists in phase one; Coen fights alone in Anachora during phase two. Winning leads to The Patricide. |
Accept the offer | Coen abandons Lacra to rescue the family. She fights alone and dies, leading to The Turncoat. |
Ask Lacra to handle him alone | A further confirmation allows Coen to reconsider. Continuing to leave her still causes her death. |
The route awards 1,500 XP. The family's final composition still reflects earlier events, including whether Esme survived the prologue medicine. Lacra's personal outcomes also depend on choices made before the raid. After the confrontation, the story continues to Things Will Be Different Now.
