Hive and Seek searches a Kobold hive for Isbrand, the vampire who turned Brencis. Accepting the hive's guidance is optional; the later decision about Isbrand can avoid another fight.

Route

Enter the cave | Follow Lacra down the mountain and wait for her blood magic to clear the blocked entrance. |
Cross the hive | Use platforms and wall traversal to stay above the silver water. Clear the corrupted Kobolds along the tunnels. |
Optional guide | When the hive offers help in exchange for clearing its corrupted members, accept to follow its Kobold guide. Refusing leaves Coen to find the route himself. |
Defeat Chonk | Reach the chamber containing Isbrand, descend and approach him. Defeat Chonk the Insatiable and the remaining corrupted Kobolds. |
Talk down the hive | Choose Calm down and think for a moment, You can't all eat at once, then You will lose your bond if you eat it. This stops the hive from feeding on Isbrand without another fight. |
Recover the armor | Before speaking with Isbrand again, loot the chest on the chamber's right for Isbrand's Plate. |
Free Isbrand | Speak with him, then agree with Lacra to move him somewhere safe to recover. |
Antagonizing the hive instead starts another battle, but either result allows Isbrand to be freed and does not close Lacra's romance. Befriending the hive also changes its later behavior and the epilogue. Our Rotten Roots follows this rescue.
Rewards
1,000 XP and 1 skill point. Isbrand's Plate is optional chest loot, rather than an automatic completion reward.
