The Weapon Throw is a Kliff combat skill added in Patch 1.04.00. It is usable only while Kliff is dual-wielding and lets him hurl the off-hand weapon at a target before retrieving it by walking up to the weapon or pressing the input a second time. The skill is distinct from the older universal Throw grapple and from Shield Bash, though it shares Shield Bash's input mapping.

How It Works
Activating Weapon Throw causes Kliff to launch his off-hand weapon at the target reticle. The weapon hits and stays embedded in or near the impact spot. To recover the weapon the player either walks up to it (auto-pickup on contact) or presses the same input again to perform a quick recall.
The skill only fires while dual-wielding. With a single primary weapon equipped the input still triggers Shield Bash as before.
Kliff continues fighting with his primary weapon while the off-hand is in flight or stuck in the world. The off-hand slot temporarily becomes empty until the throw is recovered.
Pressing the input again from any range performs a recall pull rather than a second throw, so the player does not need to back-track to retrieve the weapon during a chase sequence.
Combat Use
Weapon Throw is a niche tool that fills a gap in Kliff's pre-1.04 kit. He had no native dual-wield ranged option; this skill gives him a way to interrupt a casting enemy or pop a weak point at mid range without breaking the dual-wield stance to draw a bow.
Interrupt openings on casters and ranged units that previously forced a full sprint plus melee close.
Apply weapon-side procs at distance. Any enchantment carried on the off-hand weapon is delivered on the thrown hit, so elemental coatings and weapon-specific bonus effects all proc.
Bait counter-windows by throwing into a wind-up animation; the recovery time on a thrown hit gives Kliff a small breathing window before the enemy responds.
Related Skills
Weapon Throw shares its input with Shield Bash and replaces it for the duration of dual-wield. The two skills do not stack on the same input slot. Other dual-wield options in Kliff's tree such as the cross-slash combo finisher are unaffected.
Patch History
Patch 1.04.00 added the skill. There were no follow-up tuning changes in 1.04.01 or 1.04.02.
