Quest Details

Overview

To the Battlefield is the second quest of Chapter 6 in Crimson Desert. Kliff heads north from Hernand toward Calphade, witnessing the devastation left by the Black Bears' assault along the road. The quest establishes the scale of the conflict and introduces the Calphade war camp.

Walkthrough

Meet and Follow the Guide at the Beacon

Travel north of Hernand town to a hill where soldiers are gathered near a watchtower. Speak with the group to begin following a soldier on horseback. Mount up and ride alongside him.

Investigate the Scene of the Attack

The soldier leads you to a site along the road where bodies and wreckage litter the ground. When he dismounts to examine a body, follow on foot. An ambush triggers at this point. Defeat all the enemies that appear. These are standard Black Bears soldiers, nothing you have not faced before.

Move to the Calphade Gate

After the fight, continue following the soldier on horseback. The ride takes you through more ruined countryside until you reach the Calphade camp. A cutscene plays when you arrive, showing the scale of the defensive preparations.

Speak with Barden Middler

Walk alongside Barden Middler through the camp. He briefs you on the situation at the front. After the conversation ends, the quest completes.

Tips

• The ambush during the investigation is the only combat in this quest. The enemies are low-threat compared to the bosses you fought in Chapter 5.

• Pay attention to the camp layout during your walk with Barden. You will be returning to various parts of the Calphade battlefield throughout Chapter 6.
