Overview

The Sturgeon is a large saltwater fish in Crimson Desert. A massive fish covered in bony plates, targeted by master fishermen. Highly valued when sold to vendors. It is logged in the Knowledge menu under Creatures > Aquatic Creatures once caught.

Where to Catch

Coastal and estuarine waters. Sturgeon are among the largest non-legendary fish in the game and are found in deeper waters near the Pailune and Delesyia coastlines. Landing one requires the Pororin Fishing Rod or at least a Fine Fishing Rod. Once you discover this species, its location is marked in the Knowledge menu under Creatures > Aquatic Creatures. Select "Open Map" to see the exact fishing spot on your world map.

How to Catch

The Sturgeon is rated Master difficulty, placing it among the hardest catches in the game. The Pororin Fishing Rod is strongly recommended. This fish fights with tremendous force and endurance. Expect multiple tire-and-reel cycles, sudden directional changes, and very high line tension. Do not attempt to reel while the fish is thrashing, or the line will snap.

Uses

• Cooking: Can be cleaned into Fish Fillet at a campfire or butchery station. Fish Fillet is the key ingredient in dishes like Fish Porridge, Battered Fish, Fish Skewers, and Grilled Meat and Fish.

• Selling: Can be sold to vendors for a high price. Large and rare fish are among the most valuable single catches in the game.

• Knowledge: Fills a Knowledge Codex entry under Saltwater Fish in the Creatures > Aquatic Creatures section.

Tips

• Once discovered, use the Knowledge menu's "Open Map" feature to quickly locate this species again on your world map.

• Selling cooked dishes made from fish is more profitable than selling the raw catch. Cook at the nearest campfire and sell in Hernand for a steady income.
