Add detailed acquisition steps from YouTube transcript (5oklycwsATo): quest prerequisite, Howling Hollow location, Fang of Silver Fang item, Sigil of Solidarity crafting
Silver Fang is a legendary wolf mount introduced in Patch 1.01.00 of Crimson Desert. It is one of three legendary animal mounts added in the patch, alongside the White Bear and Snowwhite Deer. Two additional legendary mounts, the Rock Tusk Warthog and Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex, are obtained through boss fights rather than animal hunts.
As a predator, Silver Fang is aggressive when approached in the wild and will attack the player on sight rather than fleeing. Once tamed and registered as a summonable mount, the wolf serves as a soft crowd-control combat companion. It automatically bites and fights nearby enemies when the player is dismounted, making it a useful ally in skirmishes. However, its raw movement speed is relatively low compared to horses, and its combat stats are modest. Silver Fang is primarily valued for its aesthetics and companion behavior rather than outright battle or travel performance.
Silver Fang has fixed stats that do not level up like horse mounts. The table below lists its base attributes.
Stat | Value |
|---|---|
HP | 450 |
100 | |
Attack | 100 |
Mount Type | Legendary (permanent summonable) |

Speed | Low (comparable to slower horses) |
Patch Added | 1.01.00 (March 28-29, 2026) |
Silver Fang requires the most effort to obtain of the three legendary animal mounts added in Patch 1.01. Unlike the White Bear and Snowwhite Deer, which have no quest prerequisites, Silver Fang is locked behind the legendary wolf quest from House Celeste. You must complete the entire Black Fang questline before Silver Fang becomes available.
After defeating Black Fang, return to Howling Hollow, the area near where Black Fang was originally fought. Silver Fang will have spawned there. As a predator, it will attack on sight rather than fleeing, so be prepared for an immediate fight.
Complete the legendary wolf quest from House Celeste by defeating Black Fang.
Return to Howling Hollow (near where Black Fang was defeated). Silver Fang will be waiting there.
Defeat Silver Fang in combat. Fire damage is effective against legendary animals.
Skin the defeated Silver Fang to obtain the Fang of Silver Fang.
Travel to any Witch that crafts abyss gear (for example, Eloen). Access to a witch requires reaching Chapter 5 and completing the missing seal quest.
Open the crafting interface and navigate to Special Items.
Craft the Sigil of Solidarity for Silver Fang.
Use the Sigil of Solidarity from your inventory to permanently register Silver Fang as a summonable mount.
If you killed Silver Fang before the patch that added permanent mounts, the Fang of Silver Fang is automatically added to your inventory when you launch the game.
Legendary wolf quest completion: The Black Fang questline through House Celeste must be finished before Silver Fang spawns.
Witch access: Requires reaching Chapter 5 and completing the missing seal quest to unlock witch NPCs who craft abyss gear.
Silver Fang has a manual bite attack that the player can trigger while mounted. This attack costs stamina to use. The wolf also has a bouncy jump that is useful for crossing uneven terrain and clearing small obstacles.
The most notable trait of Silver Fang is its autonomous combat behavior. When the player dismounts, the wolf will automatically engage nearby enemies, biting and harassing them. This provides a soft crowd-control effect during fights, as enemies are forced to deal with the wolf while the player attacks from another angle.
If Silver Fang is killed in combat, there is no permanent loss. Simply wait for the summon cooldown to expire and resummon the mount. Use Healing Force Palm to keep the wolf topped up during extended engagements.
Strengths:
Acts as an autonomous combat companion when dismounted, providing soft crowd control
Permanent summonable mount; can be called from anywhere at any time
Bouncy jump helps with terrain traversal across rocky or uneven ground
Fun and visually distinctive wolf aesthetics
No permanent death; resummon after cooldown if killed
Weaknesses:
Low movement speed; comparable to slower horses, making it poor for long-distance travel
Modest combat stats (100 Attack) compared to the White Bear's 180 Attack
Only 450 HP makes it relatively fragile for a legendary mount
Manual attack costs stamina, limiting sustained offense while mounted
Not a compelling choice for either dedicated battle or fast travel roles
