How to Activate the Ancient Generator

The ancient generator puzzle is part of the Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop main quest in Chapter 4 of Crimson Desert. You need to align four yellow symbols on a Kiln tower vertically from top to bottom. After activating the generator, three additional kiln objectives appear in the surrounding area. This guide covers all four puzzles in order.
The generator is a large tower with multiple concentric rings, each bearing a yellow glowing symbol. At the front of the tower are two controls:
Yellow switch: changes which ring is selected. Use D-Pad Left/Right to cycle through rings.
Wooden lever: rotates the selected ring. Push left or right to spin the active ring into position.
A pressure gauge on the tower shows your current progress. The top and bottom symbols are already in their correct positions. You only need to adjust the two middle rings. When all four symbols align vertically, the generator activates with a dramatic audio and visual cue.
If you have not touched the generator yet, the puzzle can be solved in exactly four moves:
Select the 2nd ring: push the yellow lever all the way to the right. This highlights the 2nd ring from the top.
Align the 2nd symbol: push the wooden lever to the right. The 2nd symbol should line up directly below the first yellow symbol at the top.
Select the 3rd ring: push the yellow lever to the middle position. This highlights the 3rd ring.
Align the 3rd symbol: push the wooden lever to the left. The 3rd symbol should slot into place directly above the bottom symbol.
All four symbols should now be aligned vertically from top to bottom. The generator activates and three new puzzle objectives appear on your map in the surrounding area.
The first kiln objective involves reconnecting a broken pipe. Follow the pipe along the floor from the kiln until you reach the far side where the connection is broken.
Raise your torch to locate the broken connection point. The cable has a visible gap.
Approach the connecting pipe and hold X (PlayStation) / A (Xbox) to reconnect it.
Return to the front of the kiln and push the adjacent crank completely to the left until it locks into place.
The kiln powers on and the objective completes.
The dismantled kiln requires you to reassemble scattered pieces using Axiom Force and Force Palm.
Look for a small broken kiln piece nearby with a hole through it.
Use Axiom Force (L3) to grab the piece and carry it to the main kiln body.
Position the piece on top of the kiln. The game's auto-alignment system will help guide the piece into the correct orientation as you get close.
Climb on top of the kiln and press R3 mid-air to perform a downward Force Palm. This hammers the piece into place.
Repeat the process with the second piece: a flat-topped fragment that sits on a different section of the kiln.
After both pieces are secured, push the kiln's crank to the left to complete the assembly.
The fuel kiln requires you to collect five fuel spheres scattered around the area and insert them into receptacles on the kiln's edge.
Open your map and zoom in. Five circular fuel icons are marked in the immediate vicinity of the kiln.
Two fuel spheres sit right next to the kiln on the ground. Pick them up with Axiom Force and carry them to the receptacles.
One fuel sphere is on the marsh floor, partially submerged. Look for a faint glow.
One is hidden inside a bird statue's eye. Use Force Palm (R3) to extract it.
The final sphere rests at a cave mouth south of the kiln. Check the minimap if you cannot find it.
Transport each sphere using Axiom Force and insert them into the five receptacles around the kiln's edge.
Push the kiln's crank to the left to ignite the fuel and complete the objective.
