Golden Coelacanth

Apply the official legendary-fish protections while preserving older price and ingredient advice as historical context.

The Golden Coelacanth is one of the rarest legendary fish in Crimson Desert. The coelacanth is an ancient, prehistoric species. The older location account below places the golden variant in the Pailune region and quoted an approximate value of 10 silver; that price is historical guidance, not a current sale option for a protected legendary fish.
The Golden Coelacanth is found beside the waterfall located to the south of Forebearer's Barrens in the Pailune region. The waterfall creates a deep pool where this rare fish can be hooked. Reaching this location requires traveling deep into the Pailune wilderness, so players should be well-supplied before attempting the trip.
Selling: Older notes quoted approximately 10 silver at any vendor. Version 1.08.00 prevents selling legendary fish, so this is not a current vendor payout.
Cooking: Older notes recommended cleaning it into Fish Fillet for use in cooking recipes; legendary fish can no longer be used from version 1.08.00, so this is not a current ingredient route.
Knowledge: Adds a rare entry to the Bestiary Knowledge Codex.
The waterfall south of Forebearer's Barrens is the only confirmed location for this fish. Mark it on your map once you discover it.
Consider completing the standard Coelacanth entry first, as it may help you locate the golden variant more efficiently.
Legendary fish require patience. Do not reel in while the fish is actively fighting against the line.
Version 1.08.00 prevents selling, using or discarding legendary fish and restored previously sold, used or discarded specimens to inventory. In a camp pond, legendary fish remain protected regardless of lifespan or overcapacity, and only one can be registered. Both the Coelacanth and Golden Coelacanth belong to the legendary fish group. Catching-method and location accounts remain disputed, so the older route notes above are not a newly verified current-build route.
