Flawless Timber is a gathering material in Crimson Desert. Timber obtained from the finest species, shaped by time and the environment. Its grain, strength, and density are all exceptional, so only skilled artisans can process it. The finished product is passed down through generations. Can only be obtained from logging with an artisan's axe.

The primary way to gather Flawless Timber is by chopping trees with Olvalt's Logging Axe. Each tree chunk chopped with this special axe yields 1 regular timber plus 1 Flawless Timber. Note that Olvalt's Logging Axe does not produce Fine Timber; it only gives regular timber and Flawless Timber. Players who also need Fine Timber should keep a standard axe in their inventory and switch between the two as needed.
The recipe for Olvalt's Logging Axe is found in a treehouse at the far northwest edge of the map, north of Pelun, near an abyss gate. Inside the treehouse, pick up the book from the desk. Examine the recipe in your inventory to unlock the crafting blueprint.

Flawless Timber can also be purchased from the provisioner merchant in Timberton. This merchant becomes available only after completing the Fading Tinkerton quest chain. After the quest resolves, fast travel away from Timberton and return so the game world reloads and the provisioner's stock updates. This vendor also sells Pure White Dye.
Flawless Timber is additionally available from tannery and leather shops in major cities.
A second, less-publicized vendor sells Flawless Timber from a back-alley stall set up next to Marni's Drilling Rig, in the Delesyia region just above the I of the regional label on the world map. The stall stays empty until you finish the rig quest chain. Once the rig is repaired and you have reported back to the girl in the orange dress who gave you the lead, fast travel away from the area and then return so the world reloads. The vendor will be sitting under the rig structure on a small rug, and the stock includes both Flawless Timber and Pure White Dye, which is the rarer half of the inventory.
This is the cleanest in-world option to top up Flawless Timber without chopping trees with Olvalt's Logging Axe, and it shares a single trip with the Pure White Dye unlock. Restock cadence follows the standard seven in-game day reset, so plan to return after an in-game week if you cleaned out the timber stack.
