Fertilizer Sprayer
April 10, 2026 at 09:32 PM
Fix names: Silk Spong Citadel -> Spider Citadel; Fountain -> Foundation of Abundance
The Fertilizer Sprayer is a farming tool in Crimson Desert used to provide nutrients to crops at the Greymane Camp farm. After filling the reservoir with fertilizer, it can be sprayed directly onto crop plots to dramatically increase the harvest yield when crops are ready to pick.
While it emits a distinct foul odor, the results speak for themselves. The difference in yield is substantial. Without fertilizer, crops may only produce 1 to 3 items per harvest. With the Fertilizer Sprayer, each plant consistently yields up to 5 items. For high-value crops like Wild Ginseng and Abyss Cells, this multiplier makes camp farming by far the most efficient way to gather resources.
The primary way to get the Fertilizer Sprayer is through the House Celeste quest line. Specifically, it is the reward for completing the quest Abandoned Factory. This quest becomes available as you progress through the House Celeste faction storyline in Hernand. Focus on completing House Celeste action quests to unlock it as early as possible.
Alternatively, the Fertilizer Sprayer can be crafted at the camp Blacksmith once you have upgraded it to its maximum level. However, the quest reward is free and available earlier, making it the preferred method.

When the Fertilizer Sprayer is applied to a planted crop, the number of harvestable items increases from the base 1 to 3 range up to a consistent 5 per plant. This applies to all plantable crops including:
Wild Ginseng (critical for Spirit upgrades past level 8)
Abyss Cells (used for Abyss Gear crafting and enhancement)
Corn, wheat, and other food ingredients for cooking
Any crop whose seeds have been extracted via the Obtain Seed function
The Fertilizer Sprayer is the single most impactful farming upgrade. When combined with the Field Sprayer (which accelerates growth speed), you can run extremely efficient crop cycles, planting a small batch of seeds and harvesting large quantities in a short time.
It is important to understand the difference between the Fertilizer Sprayer and the Field Sprayer. The Field Sprayer increases growth speed (how fast crops mature), while the Fertilizer Sprayer increases yield (how many items each plant produces at harvest). For example, a Wild Ginseng plant might produce 2 to 3 gathers without fertilizer but up to 5 gathers when the Fertilizer Sprayer has been applied. Both tools should be used together for maximum efficiency.
The Fertilizer Sprayer is obtained through the House Celeste story line in Hernand. After defeating the boss and liberating the Queen of the Spider Citadel (the Queen's Nest), you gain access to the Abandoned Factory. The quest "Restarting a Le Elixir Factory" takes you through the facility restoration process:
Enter the Abandoned Factory and locate the conveyor belt area.
Find the hand wheel behind the conveyor belt and turn it.
Kick the button to reveal a hidden door leading downward to a cultivation room.
Pull the bell inside the cultivation room to restart the facility.
Return upstairs and start the conveyor belt using the wheel and lever.
Climb to the upper level and activate the crusher via the yellow wheel.
Activate the lift mechanism.
Set up the pump: fill the yellow container and empty the red one to produce a basic elixir.
Power a station with the handle, then carry an oil canister to it.
Use Force Palm on the mechanism.
Pull the heater handle to complete the restoration.
The Fertilizer Sprayer is found in the cultivation room after completing all of the above steps. Once collected, it has unlimited uses and does not degrade like the Field Sprayer.
The Fertilizer Sprayer is obtained by completing the Foundation of Abundance quest for House Celeste. Once acquired, it is a permanent tool with no maintenance or resource costs. It does not break or require any consumables to operate.
Apply 3 to 4 ticks of the Fertilizer Sprayer on each crop patch after planting, alongside the Field Sprayer. This combination boosts harvest yields from the default 2 to 3 crops per plant up to 5 to 10 or more per harvest.
Unlike the Field Sprayer, the Fertilizer Sprayer takes longer to recharge between uses. Plan your farming routine accordingly: water crops with the Field Sprayer first, then apply fertilizer when it is available. If the Fertilizer Sprayer is on cooldown, continue watering with the Field Sprayer to keep crops growing while you wait.
Focus on House Celeste action quests early to unlock the Abandoned Factory mission. Getting the Fertilizer Sprayer as soon as possible multiplies the value of every seed you plant.
Apply fertilizer generously to each plot. Spray until the soil appears moist for best results.
The Fertilizer Sprayer is the key to sustainable Wild Ginseng farming. Instead of searching the wilderness for rare spawns, plant a few seeds at camp and let the sprayer do the work.
This technique also eliminates the need to farm Abyss Cells in the wild. Extract seeds, plant, fertilize, and harvest for a steady supply without combat.
