Drakesfall Gorge is a canyon carved over ages by the flow of the Denn River. According to local legend, a dragon once fell from the sky toward Drake Castle, and the impact gouged a long trench into the earth, creating the gorge. The dramatic formation sits at the border between Hernand and Demeniss, making it a natural boundary between the two regions.
Location
The gorge is located on a plateau near a camp staffed by Hernand soldiers, right on the border of the Demeniss region. A street shop vendor can be found roughly halfway between the Hills of No Return and the gorge, providing a useful resupply point for travelers passing through.
Lore
The name "Drakesfall" derives from the legend of a dragon that plummeted from the sky and struck the earth with enough force to carve the gorge.
