Crimson Desert features extensive traversal systems that draw comparisons to Zelda and Assassin's Creed. Players can navigate the vast world through climbing, gliding, grappling, and mounted travel.

Grappling Hook
During combat and exploration, Kliff can deploy what looks like a grappling hook - a white, ghostly strand used as a rope to swing through the air. Rather than snapping directly to locations, it slingshots players into the air.
From there, players can transition to gliding and dashing through the skies. This can be used to Spider-Man swing around large bosses like the Queen Stoneback Crab, coming down with smashing attacks on targets.
Kliff can launch himself in a straight line toward any point in front of or above him - rooftops, treetops, or other elevated positions serve as launch platforms.
Axiom Force Traversal

The Axiom Force skill adds another layer to traversal, allowing strategic repositioning both in exploration and combat. Pressing L3 and R3 individually allows left and right hand palm attacks.
Aiming the green palm thrust at the ground three times propels Kliff high into the air, creating vertical mobility options.
Stamina System
Running consumes stamina, managed through the X button. Stamina management is important for extended traversal and combat sequences.
The stat page shows Stamina as a core character attribute that can be improved through progression.
Environmental Interactions
The open world supports diverse activities including robbing horse wagons, taming wild horses, fishing, climbing, and engaging in castle sieges.
Traversal mechanics integrate with these activities, creating a cohesive exploration experience across Pywel's varied terrain.
