The Celestial Transference is an Abyss Gear introduced in Patch 1.04.00. It carries the Stamina Siphon Lv 2 effect and is the only known source of that effect tier in the game. The gear is pre-applied to the Sword of Starlight, but it can be extracted at a Witch and re-socketed into another weapon for builds that prefer a different weapon class.

Effect
Celestial Transference applies the Stamina Siphon Lv 2 effect to the weapon it is socketed in. Stamina Siphon recovers stamina on every successful weapon hit during combat with no cooldown, no stamina cost, and no input. Lv 2 is the highest tier of Stamina Siphon currently in the game; the lower-tier Stamina Transference gear grants the same effect family at Lv 1.
How to Obtain It
Celestial Transference is rewarded as an embedded Abyss Gear when the player receives the Sword of Starlight, which is the final reward of the Scholastone Institute constellation questline. The full chain is:
Step | Action |
|---|---|
1 | Complete What the Stars Left Behind at the Scholastone Institute to earn the Constellation Helm. |
2 | Register all 13 constellations using the helm's Stargaze skill. See Constellation Research and the constellation list page. |
3 | Trigger and complete Maps of the Night Unveiled and the final Where Starlight Converges quest at the Temple Pagoda south of Demeniss, playing as Damiane. |
4 | Receive the Sword of Starlight; Celestial Transference is already socketed. |
Extraction and Resocketing
Players who do not want to keep the Sword of Starlight equipped can extract Celestial Transference and apply it to any compatible one-handed or two-handed weapon. The extraction step is performed at a Witch using the standard Abyss Gear extraction service. Once extracted the gear becomes a freestanding inventory entry that can be re-socketed into a different weapon at the same Witch.
Witch service. Extraction and re-application both happen at the same NPC vendor type. See Witches of Pywel for vendor locations.
Compatibility. The gear is weapon-only, the same restriction that applies to Stamina Transference. It cannot be socketed into armor, shields, gloves, or footwear.
Socket cost. Standard Abyss Gear socketing rules apply; see the Abyss Gear synthesis guide for details.
Build Notes
Strong on dodge-heavy and parry-heavy builds. Stamina Siphon's on-hit refund pays for the dodge cycle that those playstyles spend most of their time on.
Strong on combo-uptime builds. Long sustained chains stay airborne longer because each hit refunds part of the stamina the chain is consuming.
Less impactful on burst kits. Builds that connect a small number of high-damage hits per encounter see less benefit than builds that connect many hits.
Stacking. Celestial Transference Lv 2 is the only confirmed source of Stamina Siphon Lv 2; the lower-tier Stamina Transference does not currently stack with it on the same weapon.
