Dylan Faden

Dylan Faden is the protagonist of Control Resonant. He first appeared as a supporting character in 2019's Control, where he was held under Federal Bureau of Control supervision in the Oldest House.

Parautilitarian

Dylan is a parautilitarian: in Control's fiction, a supernaturally-abled individual whose powers the FBC contains or studies. That status is why he was held in FBC custody rather than operating freely, and it is also what makes him useful enough for the FBC to release him for this containment operation.

Relationship to Jesse

Dylan is the younger brother of Jesse Faden, the original Control's protagonist. His search for his estranged sister is one of the central narrative threads of Resonant, folded into the larger containment operation in Manhattan.

The Aberrant

Dylan's primary weapon is the Aberrant, a shapeshifting armament that mirrors Jesse's Service Weapon from the first game in role but not in form. Instead of shifting between firearm modes, the Aberrant shapeshifts into different melee forms, reflecting the genre shift to action-RPG.
