The Tang Empire (also the Great Tang) is the political power at the centre of Blood Message's setting. The entire premise of the campaign is that a critical message has to reach Tang authorities in the capital, Chang'an, during the chaos of the Shazhou Uprising.

Why It Matters

NetEase has explicitly framed the story as 'The Last Tale of Loyalty in the Great Tang', so the Empire is not just background setting; it is the thing the messenger's loyalty is directed toward. That shapes how the narrative weighs his choices and the risks he is willing to take.
