Blood Message is a pre-release single-player action-adventure game, and there is no public build to download yet. This page is for a new reader trying to figure out what the game is and what to keep an eye on between now and launch. For a top-level summary, see the Overview; for the platform situation, see Platforms and Release.
How to Follow Along
There is no store page, no demo, and no beta signup. The game has not been listed on any digital storefront and a Steam App ID has not been confirmed. A demo has not been announced. The most reliable places to follow the project right now are:

The official site at blood-message.com, which hosts the reveal trailer and tagline.
The publisher's own channels for first-party announcements about platforms, dates, and trailers.
The reveal trailer that premiered on June 20, 2025, still the single most informative public artifact about the game.
If you are checking storefronts for a wishlist option, you will not find one yet. Treat any third-party listing claiming a price or a date with caution until the publisher confirms it.
What You'll Be Doing
You play as a nameless father, the Messenger, travelling with his young Son. Their journey runs roughly three thousand li, about a thousand miles, beginning at Shazhou (modern Dunhuang) and pointing east toward Chang'an. Shazhou is where the trouble starts; the regional context is in the Shazhou Uprising page.
Moment-to-moment play has been described as a blend of melee combat, stealth, parkour traversal, and survival mechanics, layered onto a linear story rather than an open world. The trailer showed swordplay, hand-to-hand grapples, ledge jumps, ravine swings, and characters surviving an avalanche. The game is buy-to-play and single-player; no microtransactions or multiplayer have been disclosed.
Story Setup
The campaign is set in 848 AD, late in the Tang Empire period. The western Hexi Corridor, including Shazhou, has been under Tibetan Empire occupation for decades. When the Tibetan Empire collapses into civil war, Tang loyalist communities revolt. The Messenger is caught in that revolt and is asked to carry word of it east to the imperial court at Chang'an. The Shazhou Uprising page covers the historical event in more depth.

Core Pillars
If you only read four other pages on this wiki, read these:
- the gameplay loop and how melee, stealth, parkour, and survival blend together.
- the player character and what he is carrying.
- the second protagonist and the father-son framing at the heart of the story.
- the destination of the journey and the imperial capital that anchors the campaign's stakes.
Status
Blood Message is not playable yet. The game was revealed on June 20, 2025, and an official release date has not been announced. A reported H2 2026 launch window and a 70 US dollar price point have circulated in pre-release reporting as unverified leaks, and should be treated as such until the publisher confirms them. No platform-specific SKUs (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) have been formally confirmed beyond a generic 'PC and consoles' announcement; the Platforms and Release page tracks updates, and the NetEase Games page covers the publisher's own positioning of the project.

Pre-Launch Checklist
Until a playable build or a confirmed date arrives, the useful things to do are mostly informational:
Follow the official site and the publisher's first-party channels for announcements.
Watch for new trailers or gameplay deep-dives, which will be the next real source of information on combat, stealth, parkour, and survival systems.
Watch for store listings to go live, which is when wishlists, regional pricing, and platform SKUs become concrete.
Read through the linked wiki articles above so you have the historical context ready when the game ships.
What Has Not Been Disclosed
A lot of details a new player would normally want are not public yet. Specifically, the publisher has not disclosed:
Exact controls, default keybinds, or accessibility options.
Demo timing, beta signups, or any hands-on event schedule.
Store listings, regional pricing, or wishlist availability.
Voice cast, named supporting characters beyond the Messenger and the Son, or localisation languages.
Detailed gameplay systems such as upgrade trees, weapon variety, mission structure, or survival resource economy.
This page will be updated as those details are confirmed.
