Dwarves

Reframed the starting area, mount and racial ability sections as original-game design and added an explicit scope note on Chronicles playable status
The Dwarves are the third race of the Nuian Alliance on the western continent. Males average about 3.5 feet tall with broad shoulders, large arms, and fists described as "like hammers." Their motto, "Raze foes. Raise cities. Rejoice in stone," captures everything about their identity in seven words.
The Dwarves were added to the original ArcheAge in the Revelation 3.0 update of December 2016, not at that game's launch. ArcheAge Chronicles has not confirmed them as a playable race and has not published its final roster. Everything below about starting zones, mounts, and racial abilities is original-game design recorded as franchise background. See Playable Races and Expansion History.
Airain Rock is the ancestral Dwarven homeland, with massive icy peaks and deep snows surrounding their territory. The towering fortress-city of Andelph is the center of the Dwarven world, built directly into mountain rock.
After the Demon War, the Dwarves largely withdrew from the rest of Erenor's politics, retreating into their mountain halls to pursue their own projects. The recent rise of the Warborn, their old enemies from the Demon War, forced the Dwarves back into continental politics. They returned not empty-handed: centuries of isolation had been spent developing new technology, which they brought with them to the wider world.
Dwarves are independent and inventive by nature, with a reputation for stubbornness and suspicion toward outsiders. That said, they are generous in returning kindness. Their entire way of life revolves around stone and metal: mining, forging, building, and engineering. Andelph is a clear example of what obsessive craftsmanship and several centuries of uninterrupted work can produce.
In the original game, Dwarven players began at Airain Rock on Nuia with race-specific story and lore quests covering levels 1 to 30. Their racial mount was an engineered creation rather than a living animal, reflecting their technological aptitude.
Chronicles is set on Auroria and has published neither starting locations nor per-race mounts. Nothing here describes the Chronicles build.
Chronicles has not confirmed that racial abilities exist in its build. These are original-game values.
Ability | Effect in the original game |
|---|---|
Catlike Reflexes | Negated falling damage for 5 minutes, useful for navigating the steep mountain terrain of Airain Rock |
Dwarven Artifice | Decreased machining production time by 30%, reflecting mastery of engineering and metallurgy |
Summon Juggernaut | Summoned mechanized power armor for 5 minutes with unique combat skills, turning the Dwarf into a walking siege engine |
No published Chronicles material names the Dwarves, describes a Dwarven character, or shows Andelph or Airain Rock. The race is documented here as inherited franchise background pending confirmation in the game's own build.
