Update History
September 27, 2026 at 05:30 AM
Added the September 18 and 19 hotfixes and version 1.1 with its maintenance and compensation, and noted the edited day-one patch notes
This page tracks Aniimo's published changelogs. The game went live on PC, console and Xbox cloud gaming on September 16, 2026, and three numbered hotfixes followed over the next three days. Version 1.1, the first content update, arrived on September 23, 2026 together with the iOS and Android launch. The pre-download and launch entries are build milestones rather than changelogs, and entries are added as the studio publishes more.
Times below are given in UTC+8, the zone the studio’s own announcements use. Where a date here looks a day ahead of what a storefront shows, that is the zone difference and not a different build. Launch and Reception sets out the same trap for the release date itself.
Version | Date (UTC+8) | What changed |
|---|---|---|
Pre-download build | September 14, 2026, 10:00 | Pre-download opened on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox. No playable content: the client downloads and waits for the servers. PC needs about 40 GB free and consoles 30 to 35 GB, and the PlayStation 5 client installs only to the internal SSD. See System Requirements. |
Launch build | September 16, 2026, 10:00 | All three regional servers opened at the same instant. This is the first public build and it differs substantially from the closed beta clients: a whole progression layer was removed, Legendary capture was rebuilt, and the Homeland was expanded. The itemised list is on Launch Version Changes. |
v1.0.3535596.0 | September 17, 2026, 00:43 | First published changelog. Ten bug fixes, headlined by frequent disconnect and reconnect faults, plus adjustments to three gift items. Detailed below. |
v1.0.3544783.0 | September 18, 2026, 12:15 | Second hotfix. Seventeen fixes led by the red-screen display fault and red character eyes on some graphics cards, plus two story quest blockers. Adjusted Prismana respawns and the item used to evolve Squarrel. Detailed below. |
v1.0.3551601.0 | September 19, 2026, 17:09 | Third hotfix. Twelve fixes covering Sanctum revives, catch results, Bond Egg hatching conditions and a Bloom linked to the wrong Aniimo Family. Detailed below. |
Version 1.1 | September 23, 2026, 10:00 | First content update, released with the mobile launch after maintenance from 00:00. Added the Irisalis Legendary season, weekly Holo-Battle Interlink, Egg Heist Chaos Mode, four limited events and two shop items. No build number was published. See Version 1.1. |
The first numbered patch arrived inside a day of the servers opening. Its fixes were applied during September 16 (UTC+8) and the notes were posted shortly after midnight, which is why the patch carries a September 17 date while its work landed on September 16. It was published under the heading of fixes for frequent disconnects and reconnections, the fault that dominated launch-day reports.
Area | Fix |
|---|---|
Connection | Repeated disconnection and reconnection when the client stutters. |
Combat | Abnormal damage values displayed in battle. See Combat and Battles. |
Homeland | Display fault in the Homeland interface on entry. See The RV and Homeland. |
Homeland | Wrong prompt shown when a Homeland season feature was used below its unlock level. |
Purchases | Items bought on Xbox and on Xbox on PC not being delivered to the account. |
Items | An event currency not being counted correctly. |
Interface | Black screen when returning from the shop to the design screen. |
Interface | Missing like button in the photo interface. |
Tutorial | Input anomaly during the Aniimo Management tutorial. |
Localisation | Line-break, truncation and layout faults in German, French, Russian, Spanish and Japanese interface text. |
Three gift items were revised in the same patch. The quality of the items inside one of them was raised, and the rewards and descriptions of the other two were rewritten. These are welcome and event gift bundles rather than systems changes, so no balance figures were published with them.
The same notes listed faults that were acknowledged but not fixed in this patch: sealed beta Aniimo eggs claimed through the farewell event carry an innate potential data fault, and that claim entry was temporarily closed while it is repaired; visual effects can display abnormally on a player’s first entry to Astra; and a red-screen display fault was open, with switching the graphics setting to Performance Mode given as a workaround and a fix expected in the following day’s update. Separate black-screen guidance told players to update the graphics driver, try switching between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12, and disable DLSS and frame generation at the login screen. All of these carry over to Known Issues.
The English notes were edited on September 19, 2026 (UTC+8) to add a workaround for a controller that stops working in the Steam version: set the game's controller option in its Steam library properties to Disable Steam Input, then restart. The Chinese-language text of the same notes lists eighteen fixes rather than ten. The extra eight include hair slots that would not save dye, a PlayStation Store price display fault, rare crashes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox, touch language selection on Xbox cloud gaming and the launcher's one-click repair. That text also lists the sealed egg data fault as fixed, while the English text still lists it as open; see Known Issues.
The second hotfix was posted on September 18, 2026 at 12:15 (UTC+8). It fixed the red-screen display fault the first notes had left open, although the same notes still carried the fault in their known-issue list with the Performance Mode workaround. Abnormal effects on a first entry to Astra also stayed on that list.
Area | Fix |
|---|---|
Display | Red-screen display fault in game. |
Display | Characters' eyes appearing abnormally red on certain graphics cards. |
Challenges | Quick Twine and multiple Forms unable to take part in the Susuta and Dr. Glass challenges. |
Story | Terrain occasionally impassable while collecting Butterfly Shadows in the story quest The Land Where Dreams Come True, blocking progress. |
Story | Overlapping interface text and an incorrect objective description in the story quest Another Departure. |
Pathfinder | Inaccurate description of the Aeroboard skill. |
Sanctum | Players stuck after using Unstuck while interacting with a two-player mechanism in a two-player Sanctum. |
Companion Handbook | Handbook EXP not shown on the Monthly Pass make-up check-in reward screen. |
Homeland | Incorrect values in some Home formulas. |
World | Crossover event decorations floating in midair in Astra, and abnormal chimney wind fields in Nimbus Fields. |
Other | Wrong item source text in the Stamp Shop, an event button display fault on mouse hover, text faults in some shared marks, wrong asset references in quest cutscenes and a punctuation error in the Mysterious Vendor's dialogue. |
Auto Voice in the chat settings now defaults to off. When a Lucky Strike fills an area's Prismatic Energy to maximum, Prismana Aniimo there can now respawn immediately. The item consumed to evolve Squarrel changed, some chests that could not be claimed were moved, fewer marks shared by strangers are shown by default, the conditions for obtaining the Tilling Chest were revised, and error mails for ordinary Aniipods were removed without changing the items returned.
The third hotfix followed on September 19, 2026 at 17:09 (UTC+8) with twelve fixes and three adjustments.
Area | Fix |
|---|---|
Sanctum | The active Aniimo occasionally failing to revive after fainting several times. If it recurs, leaving and re-entering the scene clears it. |
Catching | Catch results not being processed correctly. |
Eggs | Bond Egg hatching conditions not matching their descriptions. |
Combat | Pathfinder skills that are not attacks triggering Aniimo attacks. |
World | A Bloom in Zephyrus Landbridge linked to the wrong Aniimo Family. |
World | Shrubclaw disappearing during the cave activity in Argent Strait. |
NPCs | NPCs vanishing mid-interaction and blocking progress. |
Audio | Overlapping Pathfinder voice lines. |
Daily Activity mail rewards displaying wrongly when resent. | |
Accessories | Accessory adjustments not saved after swapping slots. |
Nurturing | Designated Aniimo not refreshing after Nurture Offerings were used on Veins in some areas. |
Character creation | Hair appearing stretched during initial customisation. |
The adjustments revised the held item icons and descriptions in Elite Training, made Mark Sharing hide itself from the interaction list when other interactable targets are nearby, and corrected the rules shown on Aniimo Exchange.
Version 1.1, titled Setting Out in Pursuit of the Wind: Part I, went live on September 23, 2026 at 10:00 (UTC+8) together with the mobile launch. Maintenance ran on each server's local clock: 16:00 on September 22 to 02:00 on September 23 (UTC) on Europe, 12:00 to 22:00 on September 22 (UTC-4) on America, and 00:00 to 10:00 on September 23 (UTC+8) on Apac.
Every Pathfinder registered before the update was promised 500 Glimmer. The servers came back a few minutes late, and the studio added another 500 Glimmer for the delay plus one Sparkling Cube for known issues. The in-game mailbox was unavailable at the time, so both were queued as two mails for when it was restored. No build number was published for the update.
Legendary Journey: Windchaser's Departure, the season that debuts the Legendary Irisalis, from September 25, 2026 at 10:00 to December 10, 2026 at 07:59 (UTC+8).
Holo-Battle Interlink, a co-op challenge open every week from Thursday 04:00 to Monday 03:59.
Chaos Mode for Operation: Egg Heist, unlocked on September 24, 2026 at 04:00 server time; see Egg Heist and PvP.
Four limited events, Glamour Star, Aniimo Discovery, Vein Abundance and Journey Chronicles, and two shop items.
Quality-of-life changes including a Pathfinder Voice setting, Companion Mode invitations without meeting face to face, three-minute Blooms and a Mysterious Prismana Egg at Home levels 15 and 18.
Fixes including red tinting on certain devices, an infinite reconnection loop, custom Aniimo videos not playing on PlayStation 5, a chat freeze on Xbox, and model faults on Helion, Helmut and Flamerion.
Full details, including event dates and the complete fix list, are on Version 1.1.
Aniimo ran three closed beta tests before release, and the beta period did carry regular update notices, including daily patch notes and compensation posts during the second test. Those changelogs describe builds that no longer exist: the launch client is a different build, beta clients cannot be used, and beta data does not carry over. They are therefore treated as history rather than as version entries and are covered on Development, with the beta-to-launch differences itemised on Launch Version Changes.
Entries are added from the studio's own published changelogs and version announcements. Launch week had none of the maintenance or compensation notices the beta period used routinely: as of September 17, 2026 (UTC+8) none had been published for the launch build in any of the eleven languages the studio publishes announcements in. The first came with version 1.1, whose maintenance notice was posted on September 21, 2026 (UTC+8) and later edited to add compensation for the late reopening. As of September 27, 2026 no hotfix notes had been posted after version 1.1.
A version, in Aniimo’s own terminology, is also a content period rather than only a client build number. The Companion Handbook and Passes battle pass is scoped to a version and its exclusive creature rotates with each one, so version boundaries matter to players holding an unredeemed pass.
