Eko is listed in 1 habitat. Which creatures actually appear also depends on weather, time of day, and local phenomena, so a listed habitat is where to look rather than a guarantee.

Every Aniimo carries a passive Trait that is always active while it fights alongside a Pathfinder.
Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
Judgment Storm | When a skill applies a debuff to a target, Wind Boost for the whole team increases by 16% for 20s. |
The index grades three traversal capabilities, Climb, Fly and Swim, from level 1 to level 3. A Pathfinder inherits them by Twining with the creature, so Eko is worth keeping for how it gets you across the map as well as for what it does in a fight.

Look around the forest trail and the Soaring Glide approach rather than treating the habitat label as a guaranteed spawn. Several nearby groups use different heights around the same stone arch.
Landmark | Where to look |
|---|---|
Trailside tree | Search beneath the tree beside the path for a resting group. |
Stone enclosure | Check the group beside the stone surround. |
Stone arch | Inspect both the top of the arch and the ground underneath it. |
Soaring Glide approach | Look beside the pillar close to the Sanctum. |
Cliff edge | A dancing trio is another nearby encounter cue. |
Sonar Attack applies Weakness Mark on its final hit, so let the sequence finish before following with Arc Strike. That follow-up can stun a marked ordinary target. The mark from Sonar Attack lasts only five seconds; use the opening promptly rather than waiting through a long setup.
