Wise Baumnute (현명한 바움누트) is the first boss of Azure Breath Island, the Season 3 Expedition added to the Korean and Taiwanese service on April 22, 2026. Everything here describes the Korean and Taiwanese service; NCsoft's global notices had not listed the Expeditions open in the global build as of October 7, 2026.

Baumnute's signature skill is Indomitable Veil (불굴의 장막). Drawing on a crystal, he shields himself and the party has to stagger him from behind before the attack that follows the veil, which wipes the group. While the veil is up, lightning strikes players who keep their distance, so the party stays near him, and chain lightning arcs between players and crystals that stand close together. Many groups wipe at the moment he jumps and his stagger window opens; one player guide recommends that Rangers bring a stigma skill with high stagger damage for it.
His other attacks can mostly be walked out of. Since April 29, 2026 his lightning deals damage over time instead of stunning.
