11 Theostones (신석) are the proc stones of AION 2. Every weapon and Guard has one Theostone slot, and imprinting a Theostone gives the item a chance on each attack to trigger a combat effect: a status effect, damage over time, or a burst of elemental damage. The name Theostone is the global client's own item name; NCsoft's Korean guidebook and patch notes call them 신석. Effects and odds below come from the Korean service's official item database and probability tables, checked on October 7, 2026.

33 How Theostones Work

66 A Theostone is consumed when it is imprinted into an item's Theostone slot from the Integrated Enhancement menu. The imprinted effect can be removed again from the same window.Higher grades give stronger versions of the same effect types. There are three grades: Rare, Epic and Unique.The effects of the same Theostone do not stack; only one copy applies.Theostones mostly come from monsters and special content, according to the official guidebook.Owned Theostones carry over when a character transfers servers (patch notes of July 22 and August 26, 2026).Since February 11, 2026, Theostone procs use the status effect accuracy and resistance stats; since January 14, 2026, status effects from Theostones other than Paralyze and Stun can be cured with healing potions, and they end when the character dies.

8+In PvE, Theostones add very little. Community damage testing on the Korean service puts even a Unique Theostone at under 1 percent of a character's total damage. Because each proc is rolled on a hit, Theostones gain a little value as Combat Speed and the number of hits per second go up. Most players treat the slot as a low priority and keep whichever effect they already have.

1315 Within a grade, the damage Theostones are the most common results and the hard crowd control ones (Stun, Paralyze, Blind) the rarest. For a Unique synthesis, for example, each single-target elemental Theostone has a 9.92% chance and Theostone: Fregion's Schemes a 2.48% chance.
