11Stigma is the layer of your skill bar that you invest in rather than simply unlock. A Stigma slot holds a skill that can be levelled well past where ordinary skills stop, and because slots are limited, what you put in them is the shape of your build.22Slots44ElementDetailSlots at launchFour; the official guidebook's description of the Stigma screen still shows four Stigma quick slotsSlot expansionSince March 25, 2026 up to five Stigma skills can be equipped, and mastery and Stigma skills share one set of quick slots; only the basic attack slot stays fixed. The official guidebook's Chapter 1 summary lists a further expansion from five to six equipped Stigma skills with the July 1, 2026 update on the Korean and Taiwanese serviceGroundworkOn February 25, 2026 Stigma slots moved to a context system and their positions were reset, as preparation for merging them with the mastery slotsHUDSince August 12, 2026 the Stigma slots and the transformation slots can be placed and resized separately in the HUD EditorWhat goes in themAny of the class's thirteen Stigma skills, chosen per build rather than fixed66Stigma sits alongside the rest of the loadout: twelve active skills and ten passives, raised with skill points, while Stigma levels consume Stigma Shards.77Levelling a Stigma Skill99RangeCostNotesLevel 1 to 20Stigma ShardsStigma skills unlock at character level 22 in the client dataLevel 20 to 25Superior Stigma ShardsAdded with Chapter 1 on July 1, 2026 on the Korean and Taiwanese service1111The cap was 20 until the Chapter 1 update raised it to 25.1212Superior Stigma Shards come from two places. You get one every time your character levels from 45 onward, and you get one the first time a Stigma skill reaches level 20. The second source is recoverable: resetting that skill returns the shard.1414Those two sources set a ceiling. A character earns five shards from levelling to 50, and each of the class's thirteen Stigma skills can add one more by reaching level 20, for eighteen Superior Stigma Shards in total. Players on the Korean service who raised every Stigma to 20 report that this covers three Stigma skills at level 25 and a fourth at level 23, with the rest staying at 20.1616Stigma Shards1818Up to level 20, Stigma levels use Stigma Shards. The official guidebook names the Abyss exchange shop, where they are bought with Abyss Points, and since October 7, 2026 the Abyss, Nightmare and Festa shops on the Korean service also sell them. Unstable Stigma Shards drop from the Odyle Energy Cubes of Expedition and Transcendence dungeons (Transcendence since December 17, 2025) and from Abyss Commands (since March 25, 2026), and become Stigma Shards through material conversion. Two events doubled Unstable Stigma Shard rewards: the Stigma Shard Boost-Up from March 25, 2026 (Expedition and Transcendence cubes), and a harvest festival boost from September 23 to October 7, 2026 that covered every stage of Mirror of Scarlet Desire, Abyssal Horn Den and Noiran's Hidden Legacy and the Conquest difficulties of Hall of Illusion, Azure Breath Island, Citadel of the Fallen Daeva and Consumed Deus Research Base. The global client data (September 18, 2026) already lists Stigma Shard, Superior Stigma Shard and Unstable Stigma Shard items.2323Stigma Specialties2525Unlike mastery skill specialties, which the player assigns, Stigma specialties apply automatically when the Stigma reaches the required level, according to the official guidebook. The global client data lists four, at Stigma levels 5, 10, 15 and 20. The Korean and Taiwanese client lists a fifth at level 25 for every Stigma, and NCsoft's Korean patch notes adjust it as Spec 5 (for example the Spiritmaster's Jointstrike: Corrode on August 26 and 27, 2026 and Flame Blessing on September 4, 2026). Each class's skill page lists every Stigma specialty.2727Resetting2929Stigma resets cost Kina (10,000 per point from January 28, 2026, with a free week from April 22 to April 29, 2026) until the Chapter 1 update made them free on July 1, 2026. That change matters more than it sounds, because it turns Stigma from a commitment into a loadout: swapping between a dungeon build and a PvP build no longer has a price attached.3131The guidebook confirms that Stigma level resets are free and unlimited. A Stigma that reached level 20 hands back the Superior Stigma Shard it granted when it is reset.3333Choosing Which Stigmas to Level3535Because the levels past 20 are scarce, players usually decide early which Stigmas get them. Key Stigmas tend to grant major buffs or strengthen the class's main passive skills, so their levels raise both damage and support output. Support classes feel this most: Stigmas such as the Chanter's Undefeated Mantra and the Cleric's Light of Protection lift the whole group, and Korean-service groups often judge a support player by how far those skills have been levelled.3737Stigma Skills by Class3939Every class has thirteen Stigma skills in the client data, all unlocked at character level 22. Names are the global client's English names; the class skill pages give cooldowns, costs and specialties.4141ClassStigma skillsGladiatorArmor of Balance, Assault Strike, Blade Toss, Focused Block, Forced Restraint, Fracturing Rush, Lifestealing Blade, Lunge Stance, Rage Burst, Tenaciousness, Wave Armor, Wrath Wave, Zikel's BlessingTemplarArmor of Balance, Assault Fury, Battlefield Banner, Comrade in Arms, Doom Shield, Empyrean Lord's Punishment, Executing Blade, Grapple, Nezekan's Shield, Noble Armor, Second Skin, Shield of Protection, TauntAssassinAerial Bind, Assault Ambush, Evasion Contract, Evasion Stance, Illusive Clone, Savage Fang, Shadow Walk, Shadowstep, Smoke Bomb, Spiral Slice, Swift Contract, Throw Shadowblade, Triniel's DaggerRangerAmbush Kick, Arrow Storm, Assault Smite, Bow of Blessing, Ensnaring Trap, Explosive Arrow, Griffon Arrow, Illusory Arrow, Mother Nature's Breath, Sealing Arrow, Stealth, Supporting Fire, Vaizel's AuthoritySorcererArctic Armor, Assault Bombardment, Cold Storm, Curse: Tree, Delayed Explosion, Divine Burst, Element Enhancement, Fire Wall, Glacial Smite, Hibernation, Lumiel's Space, Soul Freeze, Steel BarrierSpiritmasterAssault Terror, Command: Proxy, Cry of Terror, Cursed Cloud, Enhance: Spirit's Benediction, Flame Blessing, Jointstrike: Corrode, Jointstrike: Destructive Attack, Kaisinel's Power, Magic Block, Seize Magic, Siphon, Summon: Ancient SpiritClericAbsolution, Assault Mark, Benevolence, Earth Punishment, Light of Protection, Noble Aura, Power Burst, Prayer of Amplification, Root, Salvation, Summon Resurrection, Voice of Doom, Yustiel's PowerChanterAssault Shock, Barrier Spell, Ensnaring Mark, Focused Defense, Fracturing Blow, Guardian Blessing, Healing Touch, Impeding Authority, Marchutan's Wrath, Obliterate, Power of the Storm, Sprint Mantra, Undefeated MantraBrawlerThirteen Stigma skills; most have no English name in the global client yet4343Presets and Battlefields4444Skill presets, added on January 7, 2026, cover Stigma as well as mastery skills: each preset can hold its own skills and specialties, but skill levels cannot differ between presets. The October 7, 2026 update on the Korean service raised the number of skill presets from three to five. Inside a Battlefield every Stigma skill a character has learned is fixed at level 25 and mastery skills at level 20, and no new skills can be learned there (since July 1, 2026). See Skills and Specialties for presets and the skill macro.4646Scope Note4848Stigma is a name carried over from the original AION, where it worked differently. Everything above describes AION 2's version. Do not import the first game's stigma stones, slot rules or skill lists; they are not this system.5050Receiving shard points52+Obtaining a Stigma Shard immediately credits one Stigma point. The shard does not occupy a Cube inventory slot, so check the Stigma points total after receiving a reward or making a purchase. The level-22 Ascension quest also awards a shard when it unlocks Stigma skills.54+Related Pages5256Classes for what goes in the slots, and the class skill pages such as Sorcerer Skills, Spiritmaster Skills, Cleric Skills and Chanter Skills for every Stigma skill.
