Growth Support (성장 서포트) is the Korean and Taiwanese service's catch-up programme for new and returning players, rebuilt for the Chapter 1 update of July 1, 2026 alongside the Sprout Badge. As of October 7, 2026 neither appears in NCsoft's global notices, Steam posts or global FAQ, so this page describes the Korean service only. Package names are NCsoft's English names from its July 6, 2026 press release; Growth Support itself is a descriptive name.

Type | Definition on the Korean service |
|---|---|
New account | First logged in to AION 2 after the May 20, 2026 maintenance |
Returning account | Logged in on or after June 14, 2026 after at least 28 days away |
Existing players can use Growth Support too, on fewer characters.

Package | Korean | What it does | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|---|
Exciting First Step | 설레는 첫걸음 | Provides equipment and clears Strongholds, Sealed Dungeons and Empyrean Traces in one go | Free coin from the shop's Event tab; from character level 10 |
Taking Flight | 새로운 비상 | Brings a character to around 300K combat power quickly; also switches on the Sprout Badge | Coin from the Wind Breeze Merchants tab, which needs the Kwairing Express Membership |
New World Explorer | 신대륙 탐험가 | Growth materials and cosmetic boxes | Wind Breeze Merchants coin, membership required |
Slow But Steady | 천천히, 꾸준히 | Currencies such as Enhancement Stones, Potential Stones and Soul Crystals through repeatable missions | Wind Breeze Merchants coin, membership required |
Every coin costs 0 Quna. New and returning players can buy two coins for Exciting First Step and Taking Flight and activate them on up to two characters; existing players can activate Exciting First Step on one character. Open the menu, choose Growth Support and press Activate with the coin in your Cube. Each package is a ladder of steps and missions, and the guidebook says most of them complete naturally by following the main quest. A Premium tier can be added on top of an activated package for an extra payment; the guidebook lists 100 Kina for Exciting First Step's Premium.
For Chapter 1 the support covers more than gear: Tier 4 equipment and wings, Genus Insight level 10 for pets, five Stigmas at level 15, and teleports for the older territories' quests, while Daeva Express items clear a region's uncleared Strongholds and Sealed Dungeons and collect its Empyrean Traces at once.
Growth Support runs from the July 1, 2026 maintenance until the November 4, 2026 maintenance.
Packages can be activated until the October 28, 2026 maintenance, and every coin expires at 05:00 that day. Coins can be kept in character or server storage.
Progress transfers with a character that changes servers, unless the package is limited per server and the destination already has the same package active (July 22, 2026).
An earlier version (슈고의 성장 부스팅; no official English name for the programme) ran from April 8 to July 1, 2026. It was activated with a ticket that NCsoft's English press called the Shugo's Growth Support Ticket, sold for 1 Quna in the shop's Event tab, once per account, from level 10.
The Sprout Badge marks new and returning players. It switches on once the player has activated Taking Flight and subscribes to the Kwairing Express Membership, and it shows on the class icon in party and force lists and as a sprout mark in dungeon room listings. It lasts up to 30 days, or until the player reaches the set combat power and item level.
Who | Benefit |
|---|---|
Badge holder | Sprout Daeva buff: PvP damage amplification +5% and PvP damage tolerance +5% |
Other players in the group | After clearing an Expedition, Transcendence or Sanctuary dungeon with a badge holder, receive part of the Odyle Energy the badge holder spent opening the reward Cube (NCsoft's press release says 50%), as Grateful Small Odyle Energy (Bound) |
The shared reward counts toward a weekly limit of 14 per server across all three dungeon types, and a run pays at most twice however many badge holders are in it. The dungeon entry screen shows a sprout icon on eligible dungeons and your remaining count. The item was renamed from Small Odyle Energy on July 8, 2026, when the fourth stage of Abyssal Horn Den was raised from two to three per payout. Chapter 1 also gave newcomers their own Abyss layer, Chaotic Upper Reshanta, which the guidebook says only characters at or below 400K combat power can enter.
