Eternal Ludra

Initial version (2026-10-06)
Eternal Ludra (영겁의 루드라) is the final boss of Abyssal Forge: Ludra, the first Sanctuary raid of AION 2's Korean and Taiwanese service. The English name is the game client's English data; NCsoft's global notices call the raid Sanctuary Raid: Ludra. On the global service Ludra was playable in Advance Access and was removed with the launch build on October 5, 2026; NCsoft says the returning fight keeps its core identity but adds new and adjusted mechanics, so the patterns below describe the Korean version.
A Korean strategy guide and the Korean patch notes describe these patterns:
Pattern | How it works |
|---|---|
Tail swipe | Hard to read from behind, so players often attack from the side; a hit causes bleeding that a healing potion clears |
Red mana orbs (붉은 마력구) | Red orbs appear in front of Ludra's head and must be taken by a player with a defensive stance active, or they explode. Since January 7, 2026 the answering stances are the Gladiator's Focused Block, the Chanter's Focused Defense, the Assassin's Evasion Stance and the Templar's Protective Shield, and a successful answer grants a damage boost |
Cross | Ludra rears up as a purple ring spreads and a fast, heavy cross-shaped attack hits around its body |
Aerial pattern | After a purple circle forms Ludra takes off, spins up a whirlwind in the centre, breathes at a player with a green health bar and slams, dropping zones on every member of the force; the notes added a slam telegraph and stopped close-range lightning in this phase on January 7, 2026 |
Ludra's Trial (루드라의 시련) | A bingo board appears and zones keep falling on each player; only one square becomes an invulnerable safe zone, revealed when a zone lands on it, and the force gathers there before Ludra breathes diagonally across the board. Ludra is then staggered for a long window |
According to the same guide, Ludra reappears at the north of the map after the first Trial. (The Korean notes tie the Eternal Flow (영겁의 흐름) debuff to leaving the battle area during the aerial phase; healing potions no longer remove it since January 7, 2026.) Phase two adds three line sweeps cast from the air, jump ropes from Ludra's hands, red and blue colour assignments where players must group with their own colour, a head-shake lightning attack, a second Trial combined with jump ropes, and the Thunder Zone (우레의 구역): red and blue circles appear and each player steps into a circle of their own colour at the last second, one player per circle. During phase two, skills that move a player behind the target place them in front of Ludra instead (February 11, 2026).
Date (KR/TW) | Change |
|---|---|
December 17, 2025 | Orb drops at low health fixed; dying and reviving in the Trial's safe zone no longer fails the wipe check |
January 7, 2026 | Defensive stances answer red orbs and grant a damage boost; aerial-phase lightning, slam telegraph, breath visuals, first Trial timing and wave hitbox fixed |
January 14, 2026 | Chaos and Despair Aura (혼돈의 기운, 절망의 기운) debuffs no longer both applied after a revive; Thunder Zone now hits the arena edge |
January 21, 2026 | Chaos and Despair debuffs on dead players clear at the start of the Trial and the end of the Thunder Zone |
February 11, 2026 | Behind-the-target movement skills move players in front of Ludra in phase two |
Since December 17, 2025 Eternal Ludra has paid four Unique Sync Stones and the Gear Change Voucher: Ludra, and since July 1, 2026 all of the raid's rewards come from the cube that appears after it dies. See Abyssal Forge: Ludra for the voucher conversions.
