The Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light is a separate release from the May 27, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. IO Interactive committed to a Summer 2026 release window for the Switch 2 version. This article tracks what is publicly confirmed and what is still pending official announcement.

The Switch 2 version is confirmed as a fully separate edition rather than a cloud-streaming version. It is being developed as a native port. The studio has not published a content-parity statement yet, but no story missions, characters, or systems are flagged for removal at this stage.
Several Switch 2-specific details have not been published as of May 25, 2026:
Visual settings (resolution targets, framerate target, dynamic resolution handling)
Control mapping defaults and any motion-control opt-ins
Install footprint on Switch 2 cartridge and on internal storage
Pre-load and early-access timing for the Summer 2026 release
Whether the Switch 2 build ships with Denuvo or an equivalent anti-tamper layer
Whether the Day One Patch posture mirrors the May 27 launch (mandatory patch download) or is handled differently for cartridges

Cross-platform save support between the Switch 2 version and the May 27 launch platforms has not been announced. Per the practice on the launch platforms, saves on the Switch 2 version are expected to be local to the platform unless an IO Interactive Account integration enables cross-save explicitly.
The Midnight Ray outfit unlock available to owners of HITMAN World of Assassination is account-bound through the IO Interactive Account rather than tied to a specific platform. Switch 2 players who own HITMAN World of Assassination on any platform and have linked their IO Interactive Account should receive the same unlock on the Switch 2 build at launch.
