Almost all public information about Zeverland comes from developer question and answer posts: the two tech test FAQ series, six numbered dev logs published daily during the second test, and two long-form community letters the studio calls Fireside Chats. The answers below carry the date they were last stated, because several of them changed between November 2025 and August 2026.
Release, Price and Platforms
There is no release date. The Steam listing gives it as Coming soon, and on 3 August 2026 the studio said the date of the next playtest had not been finalised either. No price has been announced. The game is buy-to-play, a term the studio used in its own words on 3 August 2026 after the July 2026 roadmap announced the shift to that model.
Zeverland is a Windows PC game. Console versions are not close: in June 2026 the studio said console support is challenging and that controller compatibility is not ready. Controller and Steam Deck support sit on the studio's wish list and have not been confirmed for any build. System Requirements covers the published specifications.
Servers, PvP and Playing Together
On 3 August 2026 the studio settled how hosting works. Official servers will always be available, and players who want a private apocalypse with friends can open an officially hosted private server. It is not peer to peer, and every server runs on the studio's side with no ports or hardware for a player to configure. That corrected the July 2026 roadmap's looser wording about self-hosted servers, and it reversed the November 2025 position, which was that all servers would be official and that custom or private servers would not be supported at all. A solo mode was announced in July 2026. Servers and Multiplayer lays out the sequence.
Player versus player combat has been set aside. The November 2025 answer was that PvP existed but was not encouraged. During the second test players could still damage each other, which the studio called rule loopholes and bugs to be fixed afterwards, adding that serious griefing would be verified and acted on. On 3 August 2026 it said it would focus on nailing the PVE experience and set aside PvP content for now, with improved base protection and offline protection in the next playtest.

Things Players Ask For That Are Not Features
A large share of the developer posts are replies to player suggestions, and the studio answers warmly even when it is committing to nothing. Ideas such as commanding a horde as a zombie king, zombie talent trees, player trading and shops, armoured trains, flying aircraft and main battle tanks pulled from a military base have all been raised by players and received with interest, but none has been announced as a feature. Where this wiki mentions a community suggestion at all, it says so explicitly rather than listing it alongside confirmed systems.
Where the Answers Come From
The studio has run several regular formats, which is useful when dating an answer. The first test produced a four day question and answer series in November 2025. The second produced six numbered dev logs from 26 June to 1 July 2026, each pairing player feedback with a bug status board sorted into fixed, confirmed, logged, working as intended and investigating. The Fireside Chat letters landed on 21 January 2026 and 3 August 2026, and the August one is the most recent broad statement of direction. Development History places them in order.
