Filled in spawn locations (Cursed Swamps, night ruins, dig sites), added a Damage and Counters section, linked related undead, and removed a duplicated drops section.
Undead is an undead creature in Windrose.
Undead enemies are risen dead found around buried treasure, haunted ruins, and at night across multiple biomes. They are resistant to Fire damage (the multiplier is below 1.0); Crude is the effective damage type against undead enemies. They drop Undead Essence.
The tables below summarize combat stats, traits, and drops for the current launch build. Values can change when balance patches adjust creature health, defenses, or loot.

Undead resist Fire (the multiplier is below one, so flame weapons are a poor choice here). Crude weapons such as the Club and Halberd land effective damage, and because the body carries zero Armor rating, raw weapon damage goes straight through with no need for armor penetration. The slashing combo telegraphs clearly, so trading parries for counter windows works well.
Undead rise across the darker corners of the map. They are most reliably found in the Cursed Swamps, the corruption-themed biome where undead density is highest, and they also appear at night near old ruins and around buried-treasure dig sites. The Cursed Swamps make the best farming ground once that biome is unlocked, because risen-dead spawns there are frequent and clustered. Loot table values below are confirmed from the current build; exact night-spawn timers vary by zone.

Fire damage is RESISTED (x0.7 multiplier), not effective. Ignore flame weapons against Undead.
Crude weapons (Halberd, Club) and Pierce weapons work well; no armor means raw damage goes straight through.
The 5-attack Slash combo (270 per hit) offers generous parry windows. Trade parries for counter windows.
The 100%-chance Wooden Talisman drop is the identifying mark. No other enemy drops Wooden Talismans at 100%, making this enemy the farm target for the material.
Not to be confused with the Drowned (a separate undead asset family with a different fire-resist value) or the Plague Thrall found in the Cursed Swamps.
