A hearty bowl of stew set out to make a galley or mess hall feel lived-in and fed. As a tabletop food display it dresses kitchens, dining tables, and tavern corners aboard your residence.
Stew Bowl is part of the Food Displays decoration line. Unlike the simple book and curtain pieces, it is a cooked display that asks for real ingredients: Meat, a Tomato, Cayenne Pepper, and a Foothills Iron Ingot for the cookware.
Stew Bowl is unlocked from the Decoration: Hearty Meal Set plan and built from the building menu in one second. Because it eats food ingredients you would otherwise cook with, gather a small surplus of Meat and farm produce before placing the whole meal set.

Stew Bowl only feeds your settlement score when it sits inside the radius of a Bonfire. Placed outside that range it is just scenery and adds nothing to the Comfort System total. Inside the radius it grants +1 Comfort toward the Kitchen category. Note that although it is filed under Food Displays in the build menu, its comfort bonus counts toward the Kitchen category.
The bonus does not stack with other Kitchen-category items, so one cooked display already supplies the full contribution. Raise the overall tier by mixing in other decoration categories around the same bonfire rather than lining up several food bowls.
Stew Bowl is one of several cooked displays in the Food Displays group. The platters below dress a table the same way; pick whichever suits the spread:
Item | Comfort Category | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Kitchen | Roasted meat spread for a galley table. | |
Kitchen | Catch-of-the-day display. | |
Kitchen | Bowl of fresh produce. | |
Kitchen | Larger fruit arrangement. | |
Kitchen | Sweets display for the mess hall. | |
Kitchen | Metal-served dessert display. |
Cook the cheaper Food Displays pieces first if Meat is scarce; the comfort credit is the same.
Keep it inside the Bonfire radius or it contributes nothing to the Comfort System.
Remember the Kitchen bonus does not stack, so add other categories rather than a second bowl to climb the comfort tier.
