Overview

Statues are free-standing sculpture decorations used as centerpieces for a base. At the current game version Windrose ships two statues, both themed around the Crocodile: the Jolly Crocodile Sculpture and the Wise Crocodile Sculpture. Both grant a Comfort bonus of +2 to a base.

Statues Pieces

Statues sit on Floor pieces. They can go indoors or outdoors and are tall enough to read as a centerpiece.

Both statues lean on the crocodile imagery that appears elsewhere in Windrose: the Crocodile boss of the Cursed Swamps, the Crocodile Whistle, and the Crocodile Hide Piece used to craft them. Placing a statue in the entrance of a pier or the center of a hall makes a clear theme statement.

Statue recipes are significantly more expensive than most decoration pieces, using several Crocodile body parts plus Hardwood.

Materials and Sourcing

Every statue uses the same recipe, which is built almost entirely from Crocodile body parts. Those parts drop from crocodiles in the Cursed Swamps, so the recipe doubles as a reason to hunt the swamp's signature predator.

Because the cost leans on boss-tier Crocodile parts rather than common materials, statues are among the more expensive decoration pieces to build, which is part of why they read as a deliberate showpiece.

Tips

• Use a single statue as a room centerpiece. A second statue in the same category does not stack comfort.

• Outdoor placement on a pier reads as a port landmark.

• Comfort +1 bonuses in a given decoration sub-category do not stack. Placing a second piece of the same sub-category does not add more comfort, it only changes the aesthetic.
