Plans: Pikeman's Pants is a Recipe Paper in Windrose that permanently unlocks the Pikeman's Pants recipe, the Rare legs piece of the Pikeman's Armor set.

In-Game Description

Infantry armor of the Spanish tercio. Favored by buccaneers of the archipelago for its ideal balance of protection and mobility, essential for hunting the local beasts.

What it Unlocks

Reading the paper teaches the Pikeman's Pants recipe at the Armor and Clothing Workshop. The Pants are the legs slot of the five-piece Pikeman's Armor set, an Ingot-based Rare set that leans toward survivability and two-handed damage.

Where to Buy

The plan is sold by the Smugglers of Port Royal Provisioner once you reach Reputation Rank 2 with the Smugglers of Port Royal. Alongside the Plans: Pikeman's Cuirass, it is one of the two main set pieces stocked directly by that Provisioner.

Tips

• The Pikeman set is the Smugglers' Ingot bruiser kit. If you run a two-handed weapon, buy the Pants and Cuirass plans first to start building toward the +160 Health and two-handed damage bonuses.

• A single piece gives no bonus. Plan to own at least two Pikeman slots before the set begins to pay off.

• Once read, the unlock is permanent for that character, and reading a second copy does nothing. In a shared base, each crew member must buy and read their own copy.
