Plague Hunters are tracker-style Plague enemies in Windrose's Cursed Swamps biome. They dual-wield short blades, move significantly faster than other plague enemies, and deal sustained plague damage-over-time on each hit. Plague Hunters often patrol Cursed Swamps trails in pairs and ambush travelers who stray off marked paths. They drop Quagmire Powder, a critical Mire Metal Ingot component.

Where to Find Plague Hunters

• Cursed Swamps trails between Pirate Camps and Ancient Ruins (most common)

• Around the High Priestess's domain; Hunters scout the approaches

• Sometimes near plague-corrupted shipwrecks in the swamp waters

Hunting Strategy

• Engage one Hunter at a time; their pair-spawn pattern can stack DoT quickly if both hit you

• Use Crude damage weapons (halberd, club) to bypass their leather armor

• Bring Pain Relief Elixir to counter the plague DoT compounding

• Their evade-when-low-HP behavior makes ranged finishers (musket, blunderbuss) valuable for cleanup

• Combine Hunter farming with Witch and Warrior farming on the same Cursed Swamps trip for efficient Quagmire Powder accumulation
