People of Tortuga Buyer
![]()
The People of Tortuga Buyer is the buyer-side merchant for the civilian faction. Stock is intentionally narrow: this NPC only pays for Medicine and Provisions, the two cargo categories the Tortuga civilians actually need to keep their camp alive. The Tortuga Buyer in town is reputation-neutral and sells nothing for purchase, so faction-paid medical and food deliveries route through this main-base Buyer instead.
Location
The People of Tortuga Buyer is stationed at the People of Tortuga Main Base. The vendor stands close to the faction's Provisioner and Bounty Agent at the same camp, so a single visit can cover all three NPCs. Travel to the main base requires sailing access and, in most cases, a faction quest first contact: see People of Tortuga for the route in.
Currency
This NPC settles transactions in Piastres. See Trading and Merchants for how the two currencies interact.

Tips
Medicine sells for 100 Piastres each here, double what the same crate fetches at a Trade Goods Merchant resale rate, so this is the highest-paying drop point for medical cargo in the game.
Provisions at 50 Piastres each is competitive with the other faction Buyers; the trip is worth taking when you are already running Brethren or Smuggler routes through Tortuga waters.
Selling here builds People of Tortuga reputation, which is what unlocks the better tiers of the Tortuga Provisioner stock.
Reputation Effect
Every transaction at the People of Tortuga Buyer grants People of Tortuga reputation, on top of the Piastre or Guinea payout. Selling here is one of the steady, low-friction ways to climb reputation tiers without committing to a faction quest chain. See Faction Reputation for how reputation gates higher Provisioner stock.
