Correct rarity from Common to Uncommon (4-source confirmation: windrose-db, NeonLightsMedia, Dexerto, Steam Community Guide); add sourcing, meta context, lore note
Pastechi is an Uncommon-tier cooked dish in Windrose. A savory fried corn-dough pastry stuffed with spiced meat and tomato, modelled on a real-world appetizer from Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. It grants a Max Health increase for 15 minutes, with no secondary stat bonus; it occupies one of the two food buff slots but does not compete with stat-buff dishes.

Cornmeal is produced from Corn at a Millstone, so a Pastechi production line assumes the player has a Millstone placed and Corn incoming from the Foothills. One source (Mobalytics) lists the recipe as Meat + Cornmeal only; the three-source majority (Dexerto + NeonLightsMedia + Steam Community Guide) includes 2x Tomato, which is what this article reflects.
Meat: generic wildlife drop, primarily from boars and sows in the Coastal Jungle.
Tomato: Foothills crop; grown from seeds at a Seedbed or gathered from ruins.
Cornmeal: ground from Corn at a Millstone.
Pastechi is the farmable Max-HP Uncommon dish. NeonLightsMedia calls it a "reliable, farmable source" of Max HP once the player has both crop farms and a steady Meat supply. Because it carries no stat, it pairs well with a dedicated stat-buff dish in the second slot (for example, Spicy Skewered Crab for +5 Strength or Coconut Soup for +5 Agility), letting the player run a stat buff and a Max HP buff simultaneously. See Cooking for the two-food-slot stacking rule.
Per the windrose-db item description, Pastechi is "fried corn dough with a meat filling, a traditional appetizer on the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao." The real-world pastechi is a Dutch Caribbean empanada variant; the in-game recipe keeps the tomato-spiced filling traditional to those islands.
An earlier version of this article labelled Pastechi as Common. Four independent sources (windrose-db.com, NeonLightsMedia food guide, Dexerto recipe page, Steam Community Guide 3704443626) agree the dish is Uncommon. This article has been updated to reflect the correct tier.
