Palisade (Logs) is a defensive perimeter fence in the Fences line, a row of sharpened upright logs meant to wall a base off from raiders and hostile wildlife. It costs just 1 Wood per segment yet carries 1,500 Max Health, double the 750 of a plain Fence (Logs), which makes it the most wood-efficient barrier of its tier and the standard outer wall for an exposed outpost.

Defensive Use

Because each segment is cheap to mass-produce, the palisade works best as a fast outer ring that slows attackers and absorbs the first hits. For the strongest layouts, back it with a tougher inner wall: the Stockades pieces reach far higher Max Health and serve as the real tank line, while the palisade buys time and screens the approach. Add a Gate (Logs) where you need a guarded entrance through the wall.

It is decayable and must be built within Bonfire range, so anchor your perimeter around a lit bonfire. Stockpile spare Wood before walling a large base, since a full enclosure consumes far more logs than a first estimate suggests.
