Overview

Ornamental Cannon is a Military Decorations piece in Windrose, a static deck cannon used purely for show rather than for firing on enemies. It is one of the toughest decorations in the game with 7,500 Max Health, the highest among these comfort ornaments, which suits a piece meant to anchor a fortified-looking camp.

This piece feeds the camp's Comfort System, but only while it sits inside the Bonfire range. A decoration placed outside that footprint still stands but contributes no comfort. Within this category the comfort bonuses do not stack, so a second copy of the same category piece adds nothing; spread points across different categories instead.

The Ornamental Cannon grants a +1 Military bonus. Military decoration bonuses do not stack, so one cannon covers the category; round out a camp with pieces from other groups such as Trophies or Seating decorations to keep the comfort total climbing. Despite the cannon-fire flavor text, the piece does no damage and cannot be aimed; it is decoration only.

How to Build

The recipe is unlocked by the Decoration: Cannon and Cannonballs plan. It then costs 10 Foothills Iron Ingot and 10 Hardwood. The ingots are smelted from ore mined in the Foothills, so the cannon is a mid-game decoration rather than a first-day one; line up a steady iron supply before committing to several.
