Open Book is a Books decoration in Windrose, a single volume left lying open on a desk or shelf. It is one of the cheapest comfort pieces in the game and, like all decorations, only counts toward base comfort while it sits within range of a lit Bonfire.
A list of stolen goods. Some items marked as sold, sunk or pocketed.
Open Book grants +1 comfort in the Books category. Comfort within a category does not stack, so pairing it with another Books piece of the same tier adds nothing extra; mix categories instead to push the room's Comfort System rating higher.
Open Book shares the Books comfort category and the Decoration: Books and Scrolls plan with several companion pieces. Any one of them satisfies the Books category, so pick by looks and by what you have spare materials for.

At just 3 Wood, Open Book is one of the cheapest ways to fill the Books comfort slot early on.
Keep it inside Bonfire range or it contributes no comfort.
One Books-category piece is enough for the bonus; spend further decor budget on a different category rather than a second book.
Open Book is part of the crafting progression chain rather than a standalone collectible. Use the recipe, station, and ingredient rows above to trace what unlocks it, what it consumes, and which linked upgrades or materials should be prepared before crafting it.
