Lamp Oil is the fuel used to refill an Oil Lamp in Windrose. The game does not treat it as a separate bottle or crafting output. Instead, the refill is performed directly at a Workbench through the Refill/Repair tab.
Carry 3 Animal Fat in your inventory for a full refill.
Open the Refill/Repair tab, which is separate from the normal recipe list.
Confirm the refill and the lamp returns to your inventory fully topped up.

The reliable early source of Animal Fat is wild pigs. Boars and Sows on the starter islands can provide enough fat for early cave runs, while later boar variants on nearby islands can drop multiple pieces at a time.

Once refilled, the lamp behaves like a portable tool. Equip it from the hotbar when exploring dark caves, ruins, or late-night shorelines. This is the main lighting option for underground resource runs where a Bonfire cannot help.
Top the lamp up at base before a long cave or ruin dive so you do not run dry mid-run.
Stockpile Animal Fat from Boar and Sow kills; the same fat also feeds cooking and other crafts, so keep a small reserve aside for refills.
Unlike a Bonfire, the refilled lamp moves with you, which is why it is the standard light for underground resource runs.
If you do not already own one, the Oil Lamp can be crafted at the Workbench once you can make Copper Ingots, or looted from the shipwreck at Pirate Remains.
