Overview

Elegant Bench is a classical-style Seating decoration in Windrose. Like every comfort piece it is built from the Decorations branch of the Building Panel and exists to dress up a settled camp while adding a small comfort bonus. It carries one of the higher decoration durability values, with 3,000 Max Health, so it survives stray hits and weather better than lighter ornaments.

Comfort and Function

This piece feeds the camp's Comfort System, but only while it sits inside the Bonfire range. A decoration placed outside that footprint still stands but contributes no comfort. Within this category the comfort bonuses do not stack, so a second copy of the same category piece adds nothing; spread points across different categories instead.

The Seats bonus from the Elegant Bench is +1. Because seating bonuses in this category do not stack, one bench is enough; pair it with pieces from other categories such as Garden or Trophies decorations to keep raising the camp total.

How to Build

The recipe is unlocked by the Decoration: Luxurious Seating plan. Once learned it costs 5 Hardwood and 1 Tanned Leather and finishes in about one second. Hardwood comes from the sturdier trees worked with an upgraded axe, while Tanned Leather is processed from animal hides, so a small leather stockpile is the only real gate on mass-producing benches.
