Overview

The Crude Frying Pan is an entry tier decoration in the Dishes group, used to dress up a camp or homestead rather than to cook with. Placing it inside the Bonfire range raises the area comfort score, which is how the game rewards a well furnished home.

It is the cheapest Dishes piece and a good first comfort source while you are still gathering materials. Because the bonus does not stack with other Dishes items, a single frying pan is enough to claim the category bonus; extra Dishes nearby are cosmetic only.

Learn the recipe from the Decoration: Iron Utensils plan, then build the piece with five Foothills Iron Ingot. Each ingot is smelted from Foothills Iron Ore mined in the Foothills, so a single trip to the iron veins covers a full set of crude tableware.

Placement Tips

Keep the frying pan inside the Bonfire radius or it contributes nothing to your home rating. Pair it with one item from each other comfort group rather than several Dishes; the Comfort System only counts one bonus per category, so spreading across categories raises the total faster.
